## Best overall: Green Verbena

Dossier presents [Green Verbena](https://dossier.co/products/green-verbena) as inspired by Green Irish Tweed. Its list runs verbena, peppermint and green leaves, then violet leaves, orris and an aquatic accord, over sandalwood, grey amber and patchouli. Going by the lists, the base swaps ambergris for grey amber and adds patchouli.

The main difference is the opening. On [Fragrantica](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Dossier/Green-Verbena-73745.html), a member who owns both says Green Verbena misses the top note but smells very close in the dry-down. Another member calls it very similar to Green Irish Tweed, green, minty and soapy.

It suits you if the settled scent matters more than the first minute. If the opening is the part you love, wear the original first.

## Softer take: Tres Nuit

Armaf's Tres Nuit splits opinion. On a [Fragrantica forum thread](https://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=201258) about Green Irish Tweed clones, members agree it has a nice scent close to the original but weak performance, and another member finds its sillage very poor next to the Creed.

The notes line up on paper. [Parfumo's comparison page](https://www.parfumo.com/compare/Creed/Green_Irish_Tweed/vs/Armaf/tres-nuit-eau-de-toilette) shows 215 of 265 voting members finding Tres Nuit similar to Green Irish Tweed, with vervain, lemon, lavender, violet and ambergris in both pyramids.

The main difference is feel. A member in [another thread](https://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=251420) found it too sweet and powdery, and Fragrantica's accord list for it leads with powdery, violet and lavender.

There is dissent too. One member of a [thread comparing the two](https://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=192597) finds Tres Nuit closer to Cool Water than to Green Irish Tweed. It suits you if you want the idea at a quiet volume and accept that views differ.

## Premium alternative: Chez Bond

Chez Bond by Bond No. 9 is a different house's take, not a saving: in the price table on this page it sits above the original per ml.

[Parfumo's comparison page](https://www.parfumo.com/compare/Bond_No_9/Chez_Bond/vs/Creed/Green_Irish_Tweed) shows 87 of 117 voting members finding it similar to Green Irish Tweed. The main difference, according to [Fragrantica members](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Bond-No-9/Chez-Bond-3259.html), is softness: they describe a creamier take with an added tea note. One finds it less bright and sweeter, and another still prefers the Creed.

A [Basenotes member](https://basenotes.com/fragrances/chez-bond-by-bond-no-9.26122731) calls it Green Irish Tweed's softer sister and suggests trying both before you buy. That is sound advice here. It suits you if you like the original but want it rounder, and you are happy to pay for a different house.

## What does Creed Viking smell like?

It opens on [bergamot](https://10ml.com/notes/bergamot), lemon and [pink pepper](https://10ml.com/notes/pink-pepper). The heart holds rose, peppermint and [lavender](https://10ml.com/notes/lavender), and the base is vetiver and patchouli.

## Fresher take: Seven Seas

Seven Seas by Alexandria Fragrances is the only Viking comparison we found, and the support is thin. A [Fragrantica](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Alexandria-Fragrances/Seven-Seas-51996.html) member calls it a fresher take on Viking: Viking is spicier, more polished and rounder, while Seven Seas is fresher, brighter and mintier. Fragrantica lists pink pepper, bergamot and lemon, then mint, pink pepper and rose, over lavender, vetiver, sandalwood and patchouli.

Several members who own both disagree on closeness. They say Seven Seas gives a Viking feel in the air but is not Viking up close, with a louder lemon and bergamot opening.

It suits you if you want a brighter, mintier mood in the Viking direction and do not need Viking itself. If you want Viking itself, try Viking.

## What does Silver Mountain Water smell like?

The top is [bergamot](https://10ml.com/notes/bergamot) and mandarin orange. The heart is green tea and [black currant](https://10ml.com/notes/black-currant). The base is musk, [sandalwood](https://10ml.com/notes/sandalwood), galbanum and petitgrain.

[Club de Nuit Sillage](https://10ml.com/perfumes/armaf-club-de-nuit-sillage) by Armaf is a similar original that 10ML stocks, and the perfume most often set beside Silver Mountain Water. [Parfumo's comparison page](https://www.parfumo.com/compare/Creed/Silver_Mountain_Water/vs/Armaf/club-de-nuit-sillage-eau-de-parfum) shows 358 of 382 voting members finding the two similar, with bergamot, blackcurrant, musk and sandalwood in both pyramids. A [Basenotes member](https://basenotes.com/fragrances/club-de-nuit-sillage-by-armaf.26163081) finds it a little stronger at first and nearer once it settles, and [Fragrantica members](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Armaf/Club-de-Nuit-Sillage-64105.html) note a sharper, more synthetic opening and far longer wear.

## Lowest price: Musky Green Tea

Musky Green Tea is the second Dossier pick. Dossier presents it as inspired by Silver Mountain Water and [lists](https://dossier.co/products/musky-green-tea) green tea, bergamot and mandarin, then petitgrain, neroli and blackcurrant, over musk, sandalwood and orris.

On [Fragrantica](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Dossier/Musky-Green-Tea-101638.html), a member who compared it with a Silver Mountain Water sample finds the opening brighter, more citrusy and harsher, but the dry-down very close. Another member says it smells like Silver Mountain Water.

The main difference is again the first minutes. It suits you if you will mostly judge a perfume late in the day, once it has settled.

## What does Aventus for Her smell like?

The top is green apple, [bergamot](https://10ml.com/notes/bergamot), lemon, patchouli, [pink pepper](https://10ml.com/notes/pink-pepper) and violet. The heart holds musk, rose, [sandalwood](https://10ml.com/notes/sandalwood) and styrax. The base brings [black currant](https://10ml.com/notes/black-currant), peach, amber, lilac and ylang-ylang.

## Sweeter take: L'Aventure Femme

Al Haramain's L'Aventure Femme has solid numbers. [Parfumo's comparison page](https://www.parfumo.com/compare/Al_Haramain/L_Aventure_Femme/vs/Creed/Aventus_for_Her) shows 62 of 68 voting members finding it similar to Aventus for Her.

The main difference is sweetness. [Fragrantica members](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Al-Haramain-Perfumes/L-Aventure-Femme-51820.html) who own Aventus for Her find L'Aventure Femme a bit sweeter, with a bright pineapple and blackcurrant opening where the Creed opens drier on apple, lemon and violet. Fragrantica lists vanilla in its base, a note Creed's pyramid does not list.

It suits you if you want the Aventus for Her idea with a sweeter lean. If you prefer the drier opening, the original is the one to wear.

## What every Creed clone gets wrong
