On [Fragrantica](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Zara/Seoul-532-8-Sinsa-Dong-Gangnam-Gu-72332.html), one member finds it very similar to Invictus, with a sweet ylang-ylang note and a marine, ambergris-like dry-down. Another calls the resemblance very strong: Invictus with added seawater, more diluted and a little less sweet, a summer version. An owner of both names it Zara's best dupe of the original Invictus. The main difference is sweetness, and the members disagree on which way it runs. One finds Invictus much fresher and Seoul overpoweringly sweet. Another says it has the Invictus vibe but is not a pure clone, and others liken it to Invictus Aqua or Hawas. Treat it as a lead, not a verdict. Tonino Lamborghini is not a clone house, so we count it as an alternative that members link to Invictus. On Fragrantica one member finds it similar to Invictus but more aquatic, "just different". Another finds it dries like Invictus, though somewhat less playful and with a retro vibe. Parfumo lists Invictus Eau de Toilette first among the perfumes it smells similar to. A Parfumo member finds it reminiscent of Invictus, sweeter and woodier but less fresh, and a statement there calls it a spin-off of Invictus built on apple, tobacco and musk. On paper the lists share grapefruit, bay leaf, ambergris and oakmoss. The members who name a difference call it sweeter and woodier, or more aquatic, and the Parfumo statement points to apple, tobacco and musk. Pick it if the dry-down matters most to you and you accept the thin evidence. ## Sweeter take: Hawas for Him Parfumo's [comparison page](https://www.parfumo.com/compare/Rasasi/Hawas_for_Men/vs/Rabanne/Invictus_Eau_de_Toilette) shows 145 of 174 voting members finding Rasasi Hawas for Him (2015) similar to Invictus Eau de Toilette, the largest such count among the perfumes in this guide. The two share ambergris and patchouli in their base notes. Hawas also lists apple, bergamot, pear, lemon, pineapple and cinnamon; melon, orange blossom, plum, cardamom and violet; musk, amberwood, cedarwood and sandalwood. Fragrantica's forum fills in the detail. In [one thread](https://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=255759) a member calls Hawas a Middle Eastern Invictus, and another says yes, but fruitier and less salty. A third finds it less salty and less generic, and warns that it is loud, sweet and youthful. Members in more than one thread find it closer to Invictus Aqua than to the original. In [a thread asking for Invictus smell-alikes](https://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=240938), one member names Hawas as probably the best bet and another agrees. In [another thread](https://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=196846), on the best Invictus clone, a member calls it really sweet and spicy. The difference to plan for is sweetness. It suits you if the salty marine side of Invictus is what you would trade away for something fruitier. ## Fresher take: King of Seduction Antonio Banderas is not a clone house either, so this is an alternative that some members place near Invictus. On [Fragrantica](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Antonio-Banderas/King-of-Seduction-26412.html), one member finds King of Seduction (2014) a good perfume in the style of Invictus but fresher and much less sweet than Hawas, with a bitter rubbery note in the dry-down. Another says its citrus and sea-water notes put it in the Invictus, or Invictus Aqua, wheelhouse without being overly sweet. Three members disagree. One remembers Invictus as sweeter and fruitier and sees little similarity. One says it is not close to Invictus. One calls it an inferior Invictus, sharper and drying down to lemon. Choose it if you read Invictus mainly as a fresh, sea-water scent and want that without the sweetness. With three dissenting voices, test before you buy. ## Softer take: Man Blue Spirit Fragrantica files Zara's Man Blue Spirit as the 2022 [Blue Spirit](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Zara/Blue-Spirit-72327.html), with tangerine, ylang-ylang and amber. One member calls it Zara's third Invictus inspiration, a night version in which the freshness steps back and the sweetness takes centre stage: a sweet, slightly marine amber after the tangerine opening, with understated performance. The same member rates it the weakest of Zara's three. Another finds it resembles Invictus but stands on its own. A third says it is not Invictus, maybe with something of its DNA, and describes a very warm, sweet scent for cool weather. Two members dissent: one finds it nothing close to Invictus, another not as good as Seoul. Zara's [page](https://www.zara.com/es/es/man-blue-spirit-edt-100ml--3-38-fl--oz---p20210925.html) describes mandarin opening into ylang-ylang and a warm amber, for late in the day and the night, and does not name Invictus. "Softer" here means the members' quieter, warmer and sweeter reading, not a claim about how long it lasts. Zara pitches it for late in the day and the night, and one member for cool weather, where Rabanne describes Invictus as a daytime scent. ## Darker take: W180 Men This is the weakest link in the guide, and the one most openly our own reading. [MAD Parfumeur](https://www.madparfumeur.nl/products/w180-heren) lists grapefruit, marine notes and mandarin; bay leaves and jasmine; guaiac wood, patchouli and oakmoss for W180 Men, which it sells as an oil-based eau de parfum. No original perfume is named on that page, and no one we cite has put it next to Invictus. We link them because W180's list repeats Invictus's list without the ambergris. So the only documented difference is on paper: without ambergris, the base lists guaiac wood, patchouli and oakmoss alone. We say nothing about how it smells.
