The heart turns to [orange blossom](https://10ml.com/notes/orange-blossom), honeysuckle and jasmine, and the base is sugar, vanilla, caramel and musk. Its accords read sweet, white floral and powdery, with a musky edge. Every clone below chases that orange blossom and marshmallow sweetness. ## Best overall: Floral Marshmallow

Floral Marshmallow by Dossier names marshmallow, neroli and bergamot on its own page. Then come orange blossom, honeysuckle and jasmine, and a base of amber, vanilla and musk. Most of that matches the original's list. By the lists, the Dossier base names amber where the original names sugar, caramel and labdanum.

A Fragrantica forum member finds the two very similar, with a little more liquorice note in the Dossier version. Another member who compared them finds it very close and says it performs well. Those are two reports, not a verdict on how it will smell on you.

Choose it if you want the marshmallow and orange blossom frame and a touch of liquorice does not bother you. A Fragrantica forum member who does not usually like dupes finds Caramel Overdose by Be Layered very close to Love Don't Be Shy and bought two bottles. Another member agrees. Fragrantica lists a caramel note for it, so there is no fuller note list to hold against the original. The pick rests on forum reports alone, in [this thread](https://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=296488).

An older thread adds a caution. One member there calls it the closest they have found, though less smooth. A member who owns both finds it lasts and projects better than the current Love Don't Be Shy. Oriana by Parfums de Marly is a perfume in its own right, so read it as a neighbour. Parfumo's comparison page shows 441 of 568 voting members finding Oriana similar to Love Don't Be Shy. Both share marshmallow. Oriana adds raspberry, blackcurrant and cream, per [Oriana vs Love Don't Be Shy](https://www.parfumo.com/compare/Parfums_de_Marly/oriana/vs/Kilian/Love).

On [Oriana's Fragrantica page](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Parfums-de-Marly/Oriana-69117.html), commenters place it beside the original. One finds it lighter, fresher and more powdery. Another finds it a little more floral and fruitier. Several report weaker staying power. A forum member in [this thread](https://www.fragrantica.com/board/viewtopic.php?id=295884) finds it mostly like Love Don't Be Shy, with a cosmetic, powdery dry-down.

Choose it if you want a lighter, fruitier and more powdery reading and can live with the staying-power reports.

## Darker take: Sweet Addict

Fragrantica ties Sweet Addict by Oakcha to Love Don't Be Shy. Its list gives neroli, rose, bergamot and pink pepper on top, then marshmallow, orange blossom, honeysuckle, jasmine, rose and orris. The base is vanilla, white musk, [labdanum](https://10ml.com/notes/labdanum) and civet. Oakcha's [own page](https://www.oakcha.com/products/sweet-addict) names Kilian's Love, Don't be Shy as its inspiration and sells it as an extrait de parfum.

The comments on [Sweet Addict's Fragrantica page](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Oakcha/Sweet-Addict-93071.html) pull in a different direction from the original. Several commenters find the opening spicier and smokier, with pink pepper and an incense-like edge. One finds that an animalic musk carries most of the wear.

Choose it if you want the pink pepper and musk to lead. Not every commenter reads it as a close match, so try the original beside it before you buy a bottle.

## Fresher take: Perdizione

Commenters on [Perdizione's Fragrantica page](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/Nobile-1942/Perdizione-35982.html) compare Perdizione by Nobile 1942 with Love Don't Be Shy and disagree on the details. One finds it more natural, green and bright, with a stronger herbal and citrus side. Another finds it airier and more aromatic once its lavender shows. A third calls it a slightly more grown-up, more floral take on the same orange blossom.

It classes Perdizione as sweet, floral, creamy, powdery, fruity and citrus, where it classes the original as sweet and gourmand. ## Softer take: Guimauve de Noël 31

Guimauve de Noël 31 by Parle Moi de Parfum gets a clear reading from commenters who know Love Don't Be Shy. ## What every clone gets wrong

Going by the published lists, no clone here names every note of the original. Dossier's list has no caramel, civet or labdanum. Sweet Addict's Fragrantica list has no caramel, sugar or coriander. Oriana adds raspberry, blackcurrant and cream, and Perdizione's commenters mention lavender.

Staying power is where the reports split. Several of Oriana's commenters say weaker, one Caramel Overdose owner says stronger. A list tells you what is in the bottle, not how the base settles on you.
