# Perfume gift sets 2026: what each costs per ml vs the bottle

10ML priced official perfume gift sets on EU house stores per ml of perfume, beside the same bottle. Most sets with extra perfume came in below it; every set padded only with lotions or candles came in above. Checked in October 2026.

Perfume gift sets split almost evenly on price per ml: of 24 sets 10ML priced on 8 October 2026, 13 cost more per ml than the bottle and 11 less, a median premium of 5.6%. Across the perfumes 10ML stocks, a 10ml decant costs a median €2.88/ml per ml and a 30ml €2.43/ml in 2026, 10ML member price, VAT included.

The question is simple: how much of the box price pays for perfume? 10ML divided each official set's price by the millilitres of perfume inside it, and left lotions, gels, candles and lipsticks out of the count. Then it compared the result with the same perfume bought as a bottle of similar size on the same store. ## Gift set or bottle: which costs less per ml

It splits almost evenly. Of 24 gift sets on official house stores checked on 8 October 2026, 13 cost more per ml of perfume than the same perfume as a regular bottle and 11 cost less, with a median premium of 5.6%.

None matched the bottle exactly; the closest, a Good Girl set, came to 3.8% below. The spread runs from 23.9% below the comparable bottle to 54.5% above it. The dataset covers 16 perfumes from 8 houses. Of the 24 sets, 15 are holiday 2026 editions and the rest are the gift sets on sale that day.

What decides the result is what sits in the box, not the name on it. Every one of the 9 sets whose only additions were body care, hair care or a candle cost more per ml of perfume than the bottle. Of the 15 sets that added more perfume, such as a travel spray, a miniature or extra 10ml bottles, 11 cost less per ml. The other 4 were three Dior coffrets with a travel spray and the Jo Malone London cologne collection, all between 5.4% and 7.2% above the bottle.

The table lists every set, from the largest discount to the largest premium. Prices are list prices with VAT on the day of the check. The bottle column is the same perfume, in the same concentration, on the same store.

The median of 5.6% hides two different products. One is a bigger dose of the perfume with a spare. The other is a bottle with a small bathroom shelf built around it.

## Sets that cost less per ml than the bottle

Sets built from extra perfume rather than lotions came out below the bottle: Initio's holiday 4 × 10ml sets cost 20.5% to 23.9% less per ml than its 50ml bottles.

Initio Parfums Privés put four 10ml bottles in each of these boxes. The set that includes [Side Effect](https://10ml.com/perfumes/initio-parfums-prives-side-effect) came to 20.5% below the Side Effect 50ml bottle. The second 4 × 10ml set came to 23.9% below its comparable 50ml bottle, the largest discount in the data. The Lift Me Up festive set, a 50ml Extrait de Parfum with two 10ml bottles, came to 19.3% below. Initio listed all three on 2 October 2026. On 8 October they showed sold out or not yet in stock.

These multi-perfume sets are compared with the bottle of the one perfume named in the row. The other perfumes in the box may cost a different amount per ml as bottles.

Carolina Herrera's four [Good Girl](https://10ml.com/perfumes/carolina-herrera-good-girl) holiday sets came to 3.8% to 12.4% below the bottle. Each pairs the Eau de Parfum with a second dose of the same perfume, a small spray or a 7ml miniature. Next to it sits a body mist, a body lotion, a hair mist or a mini lipstick. The deepest discount, 12.4%, is the set built on the 50ml bottle with a body mist and a small spray. The set title lists the Mega Spritzer spray next to the Eau de Parfum, so 10ML counted it as perfume.

Parfums de Marly's Duo de Voyage sets add a travel spray to a regular bottle. The [Layton](https://10ml.com/perfumes/parfums-de-marly-layton) duo with a 75ml bottle came to 7.8% below. The Layton duo with a 125ml bottle came to 4.2% below. The [Delina](https://10ml.com/perfumes/parfums-de-marly-delina) duo with a 75ml bottle came to 7.1% below.

Rabanne's men's coffret on sale, a 100ml Eau de Toilette with a travel spray and a 150ml deodorant, came to 4.4% below the 100ml bottle. Rabanne's store sells the bottle and the deodorant singly as well. Those two items alone cost more than the whole coffret, before you count the travel spray. It is the house's Father's Day set, still on sale. No holiday 2026 version of it was online on 8 October.

## Sets where the extras carry the price

Sets padded with candles or lotions cost the most per ml of perfume in this data: Xerjoff's [Erba Pura](https://10ml.com/perfumes/xerjoff-erba-pura) set with a scented candle came to 54.5% above the 50ml bottle, and Le Labo's [Santal 33](https://10ml.com/perfumes/le-labo-santal-33) set with body lotion 39.7% above.

Put plainly, the Erba Pura box costs about half as much again as the same 50ml of perfume bought as a bottle on Xerjoff's EU store. The Le Labo set pairs a 50ml Eau de Parfum with a 237ml perfuming body lotion, and that lotion carries the whole premium. Xerjoff's Naxos set, a 100ml Eau de Parfum with a 170 g candle, came to 24.5% above the 100ml bottle. Xerjoff sells that candle only inside a set of candles, so there is no single price to set against it.

Parfums de Marly's Coffret Delina, a 75ml Eau de Parfum with a hair perfume and a refillable body product, came to 24.6% above the 75ml bottle. Here the arithmetic cuts both ways. Bought one by one on the same store, the three items cost more than the coffret. So the set is a saving if the person wants all three, and a premium if they only want the perfume.

Dior's limited coffrets with a shower gel or a body lotion came to 8.8% to 18.0% above the bottle. The 30ml [Hypnotic Poison](https://10ml.com/perfumes/dior-hypnotic-poison) Eau de Toilette with a 75ml body lotion came to 18.0% above. The 50ml version with the same lotion came to 9.3% above. The same extra sits on fewer millilitres of perfume in the smaller box, so its share of the price is larger. Eau Sauvage and Fahrenheit, each a 100ml Eau de Toilette with a 50ml shower gel, came to 9.4% above. Miss Dior's 50ml Eau de Parfum with a body lotion came to 8.8% above.

## Gift sets for her

The women's sets in the data above mostly follow the same split: those with a second dose of perfume usually came in below the bottle, those with body care above it.

- Below the bottle: the Good Girl sets, 3.8% to 12.4% below, and the Delina Duo de Voyage, 7.1% below.
- Above the bottle: the Miss Dior sets, 5.7% and 8.8% above, and the Hypnotic Poison sets, 9.3% and 18% above.
- Furthest above: the Delina coffret with hair perfume and a body product, 24.6% above.

## The Christmas 2026 coffrets already on sale

By 8 October 2026, Dior, Carolina Herrera, Initio and Parfums de Marly had published holiday 2026 sets; the other houses' rows are the gift sets on sale that day.

Of the 15 holiday 2026 sets in the data, seven are Dior's limited editions and four are Carolina Herrera's Good Girl sets. Three are Initio's festive sets, and one is Parfums de Marly's Coffret Delina, labelled for the festive season.

[Dior Homme Intense](https://10ml.com/perfumes/dior-homme-intense) is in one of Dior's limited coffrets, with the 100ml bottle and a travel spray, at 5.7% above the 100ml bottle. Dior also had a regular Eau Sauvage coffret with a travel spray on sale, at 7.2% above. That one is not a holiday edition.

Other houses had not caught up on the day of the check. Le Labo, Byredo and Jo Malone London had no single-perfume holiday sets on their stores. Kilian's French store had no Angels' Share gift set at all. Diptyque's catalogue feed already listed holiday items, but their pages returned errors on 8 October. The feed does not give the millilitres either, so those items are not in the table. A later check in the season would show how the remaining houses price their coffrets.

## Three decants instead of one box

A set of decants usually costs more per ml than a large bottle but lets the person choose: across the perfumes 10ML stocks, a 10ml decant costs a median €2.88/ml per ml in 2026, 10ML member price, VAT included.

On the same basis, a 3ml decant costs a median €3.30/ml per ml and a 30ml decant €2.43/ml. Moving from 3ml to 30ml saves a median 29% per ml across the perfumes 10ML stocks, according to 10ML Price-per-ml Index. A gift set answers one question for the person who receives it: which perfume. Most of the sets above put 50ml or more of a single scent in the box. That only pays off if the giver guessed right. Three 10ml decants give the same person 30ml across three scents, around 200 sprays each. Then they can buy the full bottle of the one they keep reaching for.

A 10ml decant holds around 200 sprays and a 30ml around 600; both are estimates. Every decant is filled from the original bottle. ## How to read the premium

A positive premium means the set costs more than the same millilitres of the same perfume bought as a bottle; the difference pays for the lotion, gel, candle or box.

10ML's figure is the set price divided by what the same millilitres of perfume would cost at the comparable bottle's price per ml, minus one. A premium of 54.5% means paying about half as much again for the perfume. A discount of 23.9% means paying roughly three quarters of the bottle's price per ml.

The comparable bottle is the same store's regular bottle closest in size to the set's main bottle. Against the largest bottle each house sells, the result changes sharply. The Initio, Good Girl and Layton sets would all cost more per ml than the largest bottle, and so would Rabanne's coffret. Only one set of the 24, the Delina Duo de Voyage, would still come in below, because 75ml is the largest Delina bottle on that store. For someone who already knows they want a lot of one perfume, the largest plain bottle usually gives the lowest price per ml.

Multi-perfume sets need care. Jo Malone London's Collection Colognes Homme holds five 9ml colognes, among them Lime Basil & Mandarin and Wood Sage & Sea Salt. Its price equals five single 9ml Wood Sage & Sea Salt bottles bought on the same store, so it costs the same as buying five of that one cologne. The 5.4% premium in the table compares it with the 30ml bottle.

Free gift wrapping, free miniatures and gift-with-purchase offers were not counted; they change weekly and are not part of the list price.

## How 10ML priced the gift sets

10ML read each set's contents and price from its own product page on official house stores on 8 October 2026, counted only perfume toward the millilitres, and compared the result with the same store's bottle closest in size.

The stores are the official French stores of the houses, plus Xerjoff's EU euro store. Prices are list prices with VAT included. In France the standard VAT rate is 20% in 2026, according to Tax Foundation: VAT Rates in Europe, as of January 2026. The same bottle can carry a different price in another country, as [10ML's comparison of perfume prices per ml in 13 European countries](https://10ml.com/guides/perfume-prices-europe) shows.

Counted as perfume: Eau de Parfum, Eau de Toilette, Extrait de Parfum and cologne, including travel sprays and miniatures. Not counted: body lotions and body milks, shower gels, deodorants, hair and body mists, hair perfume, candles and make-up. They stay in the table so you can see what each premium buys.

The comparable bottle is the same perfume in the same concentration, sold as a regular bottle on the same store. It comes from 10ML's October 2026 check of trial formats and bottle sizes on official house stores.

Left out: Diptyque's holiday items, whose pages returned errors and whose millilitres were not stated, and Kilian's Angels' Share set, which appeared only on the house's US store. Houses with no gift set online on 8 October have no row.
