## What does Prada Paradoxe smell like?

[Prada Paradoxe](https://10ml.com/perfumes/prada-paradoxe) launched in 2022 as a women's scent. It opens with pear, tangerine and [bergamot](https://10ml.com/notes/bergamot), juicy and bright rather than sharp. The heart is where it lives: orange blossom, two forms of [neroli](https://10ml.com/notes/neroli) and [jasmine](https://10ml.com/notes/jasmine) sambac, a white floral that feels clean and sunny rather than heady. The base is Bourbon vanilla, [amber](https://10ml.com/notes/amber), white [musk](https://10ml.com/notes/musk) and benzoin, soft and warm without turning into dessert.

The balance is the point. It is sweet but not sugary, floral but not soapy, and the musk keeps it close and polished.

## Best overall: Mon Paradis

Mon Paradis by Câline, tops the "smells similar" list on Paradoxe's Parfumo page. Its [Parfumo comparison page](https://www.parfumo.com/compare/caline/mon-paradis/vs/Prada/paradoxe-eau-de-parfum) lists pear, neroli, peach and bergamot; orange blossom, jasmine and rose; amber, musk, vanilla and cedarwood. The pear-neroli opening, the orange blossom and jasmine heart and the amber, vanilla and musk base are all there.

The main difference comes after the opening. A [member on Parfumo](https://www.parfumo.de/Parfums/caline/mon-paradis/rezensionen/378745) finds the resemblance unmistakable at first, but says Mon Paradis turns fruitier while the original grows more floral, and that it wears clearly weaker. In a [Parfumo forum thread](https://www.parfumo.de/forums/post/2275429), several members call it softer and creamier.

It suits someone who wants the Paradoxe mood for everyday wear and will spray again during the day. Basis: a named source.

## Softer take: Pink Eclipse

Pink Eclipse by Maison Alhambra is the lighter-wearing option, going by its owners. It suits someone who wants the original's structure on paper in a quieter form, and is willing to test a clone with a mixed reception. ## Lowest price: Charisme

Charisme by La Rive, has the lowest price per ml in the table. [Parfumo lists](https://www.parfumo.com/compare/La%5FRive/charisme/vs/Prada/paradoxe-eau-de-parfum) pear, bergamot and mandarin; bitter orange blossom, jasmine and orange blossom; ambergris, benzoin and vanilla. It shares the pear top, the orange blossom and jasmine, and the benzoin and vanilla below.

The main difference is youth. Members on its [Fragrantica page](https://www.fragrantica.com/perfume/La-Rive/Charisme-103312.html) describe it as juicier and more playful than Paradoxe, and the Parfumo community adds a creamy facet. There is no neroli on its list, which is the note that gives the original its clean lift.

Nexa Musée by Rue Broca is the greener, crisper option. Golden Rule by Phlur is not sold as a clone. It lists pear, mandarin and pink pepper; orange flower water, jasmine and coconut milk; vanilla, sandalwood and benzoin.

The main difference is creaminess. Coconut milk and sandalwood replace the amber and white musk, and pink pepper adds a little spark on top. The Parfumo community gives it the same sweet, floral and fruity core as Paradoxe, with a creamy facet added.

## What every clone gets wrong

The neroli is the hardest part. Paradoxe uses two forms of it, and it is what makes the orange blossom feel clean and airy rather than sweet. Several clones here list no neroli at all, or only one, and lean on fruit instead: peach, dragon fruit, mandarin. The second gap is the base. Paradoxe's amber and musk are modern materials that keep the dry-down smooth and close. Clones replace them with plainer amber, ambergris, tonka or cedarwood, which can make the late hours sweeter or woodier. Parfumo's community adds a creamy or fruitier facet to several of them.
