What does Bitter Peach smell like?

Bitter Peach by Tom Ford launched in 2020. Its top puts peach beside blood orange, cardamom and heliotrope. The heart turns boozy, with rum and cognac set against jasmine and davana. Then comes a long, resinous base: vanilla, tonka bean, benzoin and sandalwood, then styrax, labdanum, cashmeran, vetiver and Indonesian patchouli leaf.

The listed accords open with woody, warm spicy, vanilla and fruity, and carry on through amber, powdery and sweet. So the peach is the name on the bottle, yet 9 of its 17 listed notes sit in the base. When you read a clone's note list, check that end first.

10ML sells no other version of it, and each Parfumo vote quoted below compares a clone with this Bitter Peach.

Peachy Vibes by MonKoku holds the only unanimous Parfumo vote among these six clones. On Parfumo's comparison page, every one of the voting members finds it similar to Bitter Peach.

Its listing there follows much of the original's pyramid: blood orange, cardamom and peach up top, cognac and jasmine in the middle, then vanilla, benzoin, patchouli, sandalwood and tonka. The main difference is what that list drops. Rum, davana and heliotrope are missing, so on paper the heart keeps the cognac without the rum, and the top loses heliotrope.

It suits someone who wants the peach, cognac and patchouli outline in a full bottle and is ready to find out on skin how much the missing notes matter. Basis: a named source, Parfumo's unanimous vote and the note list on that page. No owner's write-up is quoted for it.

Peach Honey by Flavia is the pick backed by a member who owns both bottles. On its Fragrantica page, that member finds the two very close, especially to an untrained nose. A second member there also finds it very close, with a little more sweetness.

That extra sweetness is the main difference on record. Not every owner is convinced: a third member on the same page doubts it is a perfect match. The vote leans towards the first two. On Parfumo's comparison page, close to three quarters of those voting call the pair similar.

It suits a wearer who will accept a slightly sweeter peach in return for the nearest match an owner describes. When prices were checked, Flavia's bottle carried no EU list price, so the table leaves that cell blank. Basis: a named source, three Fragrantica members with one doubter, plus Parfumo's vote.

Coral Blush by Maison Alhambra wins one of the widest margins here. Only two of the voting members on Parfumo's comparison page see no likeness to Bitter Peach. Fragrantica members report that the house sold it as Bright Peach before the rename, and Parfumo lists it under both names.

The main difference is the patchouli. A member who owns Bitter Peach, writing on the Fragrantica page for Coral Blush, finds it built on the same bones but fresher: green notes at the start, much less patchouli, and a softer, sweeter result overall.

It suits someone who loves the peach in the original but finds its patchouli too much. Basis: Parfumo's vote and that one owner's comparison on Fragrantica.

Sutoor by Lattafa is the lowest-priced of the three clones we could price. On Parfumo's comparison page, 11 of 12 voting members find it similar to Bitter Peach.

How it differs is not on record. That vote is all the evidence this guide holds for Sutoor: no note list and no owner's comparison, so we will not guess where it departs from the Tom Ford.

It suits a buyer after the least outlay for a full bottle who is willing to judge the gap personally, ideally beside a 3ml of the original. Basis: Parfumo's vote alone.

Better Peach by Alexandria Fragrances is the pick Fragrantica members describe as gentler at the finish. The house markets it as inspired by Bitter Peach, which tells you what it aims at, not how near it lands.

On its Fragrantica page, members find the opening close to Bitter Peach, then describe a soft, creamy vanilla dry-down. That is the main difference. They split on powder: some find it more powdery than the original, others less. Parfumo's voters split too. On its comparison page, barely more than half of those voting see the two as similar, the narrowest vote of the six.

It suits someone who wants the peach opening with a creamier, vanilla ending. We found no EU list price for Better Peach on 2 October 2026. Basis: Fragrantica members, with Parfumo's divided vote.

Sour Peach by The Dua Brand takes the premium slot because of how it is sold: the house markets it as an extrait de parfum and names Bitter Peach as its inspiration. Neither statement is evidence of a likeness. The independent record is Parfumo's comparison page, where over four in five of those voting see a likeness.

Where it differs from the original is undocumented in our sources: no note list or owner's account is quoted, so that question stays open until you wear it.

It suits someone who wants the peach theme in what the house calls an extrait. We found no euro price for Sour Peach when prices were checked. Basis: Parfumo's vote; the extrait label is the house's own.

What the clone records leave out

Peachy Vibes is the only pick here whose quoted record includes a full shared-note list, and it shows what to look for: the peach, cognac and patchouli stay, while rum, davana and heliotrope fall away. One Coral Blush owner reports much less patchouli.

No record quoted in this guide mentions styrax, labdanum, cashmeran or vetiver, four of the original's base notes. That does not prove a clone lacks them. It does mean you should not assume any clone has them.

Clone bottle or a 10ml decant of Bitter Peach?

On price per ml, the gap is wide. The three clones with a euro price each cost a small fraction of Bitter Peach's per-ml price, whichever size you pick. A 10ml decant of Bitter Peach is 67,50 €, or 6,75 €/ml, and the 30ml, at 167,40 €, lowers that to 5,58 €/ml.

So the case for the decant is not volume. It is knowing. A 3ml of Bitter Peach, around 60 sprays, is 24,03 €: enough to live with the real peach, cognac and patchouli for a week and then decide whether a clone gets close enough for you. Three originals in the catalogue put peach next to patchouli or vanilla, as Bitter Peach does. Bibliothèque by Byredo pairs peach and plum with cinnamon, moves through violet and peony, and settles on leather, patchouli, vanilla, birch and musk: a woodier, leathery reading. Empressa by Penhaligon's shares the blood orange and peach on top, adds pink pepper, rose and geranium, and rests on patchouli, brown sugar, vanilla, sandalwood and amber. Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi sets peach among passionfruit, pear and raspberry, with musk, vanilla, patchouli, heliotrope and sandalwood underneath.

How to test a dupe

Start with the peach. Put the original on one forearm and the clone on the other, or give each its own day, and note what the first minutes bring: peach and blood orange, or something fresher, as the Coral Blush owner found. Come back once it has settled, when the rum and cognac heart should show. Then check again in the evening for the vanilla, patchouli and benzoin base, the part where the quoted records say least and your own nose counts most.
