Our 2026 ranking at a glance

10ML's two advent calendars for 2026

We built our calendars around one idea: every door is a perfume. No candles, no lotions, no fillers, just 3ml decants from the houses people already talk about, each enough to wear for about 10 days, filled by hand from the original bottle and labelled with the perfume's name and house. The calendars are sold as a pre-order and ship from 16 November 2026, in time for the first door on 1 December. For him

Twenty-four men's scents that cover the office, the weekend and a night out. Aventus is pineapple and blackcurrant over birch and musk. Sauvage is bright bergamot and pepper on ambroxan. Terre d'Hermès is orange and grapefruit over flint and vetiver. For the evening there is Oud Wood, with oud, rosewood and cardamom, and Tobacco Vanille, with tobacco leaf, cacao and vanilla. Layton and XJ 1861 Naxos sit in between: apple and lavender for the first, honey and tobacco for the second.

For her

Twenty-four women's favourites and a few niche names, from sweet to fresh. Baccarat Rouge 540 opens the line-up with saffron and jasmine over amberwood and cedar. Delina pairs litchi and rhubarb with Turkish rose, peony and vanilla. Lost Cherry is black cherry and bitter almond on a warm tonka base, and J'adore is a bright floral of pear, melon, jasmine and tuberose. Portrait of a Lady brings rose, raspberry, incense and patchouli for cold evenings, and Wood Sage & Sea Salt keeps things airy with sage, grapefruit and sea salt. Black Opium, Libre, La Vie Est Belle and Good Girl fill out the sweeter doors.

How we ranked the calendars

We put the eleven calendars in order on five questions, the most important first:

1. How many doors hold a perfume, rather than a candle, a lotion or an object?
2. How much perfume is behind each door: enough to wear for days, or a single try?
3. Can you see every perfume before you buy?
4. Is there an edition for him and one for her?
5. Is it priced in euros for shoppers in the EU?

We read each calendar's contents and price on the seller's own page, or on the listing named in its row. We make and sell the 10ML calendars and held them to the same five questions as the other ten.

Perfume advent calendars 2026 compared

Every price was read on the date in its row; where a seller has no EU price, we give the one its own site shows elsewhere. We never convert a currency and never estimate a price. Price per ml counts the perfume only, so with candles or body care in the box it is an upper bound ("at most"); "about" means we added up the sizes the source lists.

The other ten, calendar by calendar

2. Scento

Scento sells one calendar for her and one for him at the same price. Each holds 23 perfumes of 2ml and, behind door 24, a larger 8ml bottle: Amouage Guidance in the edition for her and Louis Vuitton Imagination in the one for him. Most of the houses are niche, such as Xerjoff, Initio and Parfums de Marly, the full line-up of both is on its page, and nothing but perfume is listed in the box. Delivery starts in mid-November.

3. PAFORY

PAFORY, a German perfume subscription shop, sells a for-him and a for-her calendar of 24 niche perfumes of 2ml, one per house, and lists every one on its product page. The houses are small and independent, such as Memo, Dusita, Bon Parfumeur and Goldfield & Banks, with no designer houses. A magazine, scent strips, vouchers towards bottles and a voucher for its membership come in the box. It ships from 15 October and costs under a hundred euros.

4. MyScent

MyScent, a German decant shop, sells a for-him and a for-her calendar of 23 doors of 2ml and one of 5ml, described as niche and designer perfumes. The line-up stays secret until each day, so you cannot check it against your shelf. Each calendar costs much less when you buy two, in any mix. Delivery starts in mid-November.

5. Harrods 12 Days of Fragrance

About 305ml of niche perfume in 12 doors, seven of them big bottles, with nothing else listed: no calendar here has more big bottles. It went on sale on 3 August in the Harrods app and sold out within hours. One unisex box, sold in pounds.

6. Lookfantastic

Lookfantastic's calendar has 24 to 25 items. By the sizes Beauty Detective lists, that is about 230ml of perfume, led by a 35ml Givenchy and two 30ml bottles; a candle, a pillow spray and an atomiser take three doors.

7. Boots 12 Days of Scent

Boots' first fragrance calendar has 12 doors and 15 items: a 35ml Givenchy L'Interdit, nine 10ml bottles and three smaller ones, plus a body mist and a candle. Its listing explains how Boots reached the value it gives the box. Sold online only in the UK, it is the lowest-priced retailer calendar here.

8. Jo Malone London Christmas Kist

Twenty-five days: twelve small colognes, a 30ml Tangerine & Honey cologne on the last day, and candles and body care in between. We found it on the house's UK shop only. It suits someone who already wears the house's colognes.

9. Byredo

Seven eaux and absolus de parfum, among them a 50ml Bal d'Afrique, beside a body mist, a hair perfume, candles, body care, lipsticks and small objects. It was the only house calendar with a euro price on an EU shop when we checked.

10. Diptyque

A toolbox of 25 drawers made with the artist Jean-Simon Roch, which the house says can hold small treasures afterwards. Inside: six eaux de parfum, candles, a hair mist, a solid perfume and body care. On 28 September the EU page still said the calendar would be revealed soon; the UK shop listed it for pre-order.

11. Penhaligon's

A 2026 calendar of 24 gifts on the house's US shop, with no line-up yet, so we cannot say how much of it is perfume.

Perfumery calendars with perfume inside, on sale in Europe (not ranked)

Eight more calendars from six sellers, on sale in Europe for Advent 2026, have perfume inside. They sit outside the ranking because several of them mix perfume with beauty products, and the ranking above was set on the perfume behind each door. Each is listed with only what its seller's own page states.

12 Perfumed Moments is all perfume: twelve eaux de parfum and eaux de toilette in miniature, seven for women, three for men and two unisex by its seller's count, and in stock on all five national shops we read.

Mr Rizz, a Czech perfume-sample shop, sells its calendar of samples in a women's and a men's edition, each in three finishes. Every door holds a different perfume in a 1ml spray vial, and the 12-door versions hold the first twelve of the 24. Its Hungarian site lists them too.

Collection 24 Love Brands is a beauty calendar with a little perfume in it: a 10ml bottle from Zielinski & Rozen and 5ml bottles from Juliette Has a Gun, VALJUES, Memo Paris and Une Nuit Nomade, among 28 products. Its page does not say which doors hold them.

Paris Perfumes, a Polish shop, lists its calendar's perfume only in the page's product-safety section, without saying which doors hold it. It was on presale when we checked, shipping from 24 October.

Favorites, sold in France, is a beauty calendar: its page lists one perfume among its 25 products, a 10ml bottle of PHLUR Vanilla Skin eau de parfum.

The Maison Margiela Replica 7-day calendar is the house's own, sold by a German perfume shop: a 30ml Jazz Club, a 10ml bottle of Lazy Sunday Morning and 7ml bottles of By the Fireplace, Never-Ending Summer and Chasing Sunsets, all from Margiela's Replica line. It was in stock when we checked.

Perfume in every door, or a bit of everything

The first question is what you want to open each morning. A house calendar is a tour of one house: its perfumes, its candles, its soap and a box you keep afterwards. For someone who already loves Diptyque or Jo Malone London, the candles and creams are part of the pleasure.

A decant calendar is a tour of perfume itself. Every door is a different scent, often from a different house, and every one is enough to wear for several days. By Christmas the person has worn 24 perfumes on their own skin, and usually knows which one they want as a bigger bottle. The door size matters as much as the door count. A 3ml decant is around 60 sprays, about 10 days of daily wear. A small cologne or a hair mist gives a day or two and a feel for the scent; a candle gives none.

Value per ml: how to compare calendars fairly

A calendar's "worth" figure adds up everything inside it at full price, and every seller counts it its own way. A fairer check is price per ml of perfume:

1. Count only the perfume: eaux de parfum, extraits, colognes. Leave out candles, lotions, soaps and objects.
2. Add up the millilitres.
3. Divide the price by that number.

For a house calendar this gives an upper bound, because part of the price pays for the candles and the body care. That is why the table says "at most" for Byredo, Diptyque and Jo Malone London. For our calendars every millilitre is perfume, so the figure is the real price per ml.

Price per ml also depends on what the millilitres are: a retailer box puts much of its perfume into a few big bottles and gives some doors to a candle or a mist, while ours spreads it across 24 different perfumes of 3ml, chosen for him or for her. If you want to wear 24 perfumes and find the one worth buying, count the perfumes too.

Then compare it with what the same perfume costs outside a calendar. A 3ml decant of Baccarat Rouge 540 on its own is 16,11 €, and a 30ml works out at 3,49 €/ml. A 3ml of Aventus is 11,88 €, and a 3ml of Oud Wood is 18,81 €. The advent calendar page shows what each edition's 24 decants would cost bought one by one, next to the calendar price. How to choose a perfume advent calendar

• Who is it for? Someone who loves one house will enjoy that house's calendar. Someone still looking for a signature scent gets more from 24 different perfumes, in an edition for him or for her.
• Perfume or a mix? If you want perfume in every door, check the line-up before you buy; a secret line-up cannot be checked against what the person owns.
• How big are the doors? Look for millilitres, not "deluxe size". A 3ml decant is about 10 days of wear; a 9ml cologne is more.
• When does it arrive? Ours ship from 16 November 2026; order by 17 November for delivery before 1 December. PAFORY ships from 15 October and MyScent from mid-November, and the Harrods calendar had already sold out. Check the date against 1 December.
• What happens after December? A good calendar ends with a clear favourite. With a decant calendar, the next step is a 10ml decant of that perfume, around 200 sprays, or a 30ml, around 600, before any bigger bottle.

The best perfume advent calendar for her

For a woman who wants a perfume to wear behind every door, our pick is the 10ML calendar for her: 24 perfumes of 3ml, opening with Baccarat Rouge 540 on 1 December, with Delina, Lost Cherry and Portrait of a Lady further in. Every door is listed before you buy, so you can hold it up against her shelf. Scento's edition for her saves an 8ml Amouage Guidance for door 24, PAFORY's tours small niche houses at 2ml a door, and MyScent keeps its line-up secret. If she already loves one house, its own calendar suits her better, with fewer perfumes and more candles and body care.

The best perfume advent calendar for him

For a man, the 10ML calendar for him puts 24 perfumes of 3ml behind its doors, from Aventus and Sauvage for the office to Oud Wood and Tobacco Vanille for the evening, and none of them is shared with the edition for her. Scento's edition for him ends on an 8ml Louis Vuitton Imagination, and PAFORY and MyScent sell one for him too, at 2ml a door. The retailer boxes from Harrods, Lookfantastic and Boots come in a single edition for everyone, so count how many of their doors he would actually wear. For a man who already has a signature scent, two dozen others are the easiest way to find a second one.

Pre-order and delivery of the 10ML calendars

Each 10ML calendar is a pre-order: the calendar ships from 16 November 2026, tracked, to all 26 EU countries, so a calendar ordered by 17 November arrives before the first door opens on 1 December. Standard shipping is free, because every calendar clears the free-shipping threshold on its own. Checkout and your order email both show the dispatch date.
