Perfume advent calendars 2026: what is inside, what they cost and the value per ml

10ML's three advent calendars for 2026

We built our calendars around one idea: every door is a perfume. There are no candles, no lotions and no fillers, just 3ml decants of perfumes from the houses people already talk about, each one enough to wear for a week or so. The calendars are sold as a pre-order and ship from 17 November 2026, in time for the first door on 1 December. For her

Twenty-four women's favourites and a few niche names, from sweet to fresh. Baccarat Rouge 540 opens the line-up with saffron and jasmine over amberwood and cedar. Delina pairs litchi and rhubarb with Turkish rose, peony and vanilla. Lost Cherry is black cherry and bitter almond on a warm tonka base, and J'adore is a bright floral of pear, melon, jasmine and tuberose. Portrait of a Lady brings rose, raspberry, incense and patchouli for cold evenings, and Wood Sage & Sea Salt keeps things airy with sage, grapefruit and sea salt. Black Opium, Libre, La Vie Est Belle and Good Girl fill out the sweeter doors.

For him

Twenty-four men's scents that cover the office, the weekend and a night out. Aventus is pineapple and blackcurrant over birch and musk. Sauvage is bright bergamot and pepper on ambroxan. Terre d'Hermès is orange and grapefruit over flint and vetiver. For the evening there is Oud Wood, with oud, rosewood and cardamom, and Tobacco Vanille, with tobacco leaf, cacao and vanilla. Layton and XJ 1861 Naxos sit in between: apple and lavender for the first, honey and tobacco for the second.

Niche

Twelve doors for someone who already knows the designer classics. The niche edition gathers perfumes that are hard to wear before buying because a full bottle is a big spend. Angels' Share is cognac, cinnamon and praline. Philosykos is fig and fig leaf with coconut and cedar, green and milky at once. Baccarat Rouge 540, Aventus, Delina, Layton, Naxos and Portrait of a Lady are here too, with Guidance, Hacivat, Side Effect and Erba Pura.

The house advent calendars of 2026, compared

Most perfume houses sell their own calendar each winter. We looked at the houses whose 2026 calendars we could read on their own sites on 28 September 2026. Where a house has not yet listed its 2026 calendar for EU shoppers, we say so and give the price its own site shows elsewhere, in that site's currency. We never convert a currency and never estimate a price.

Byredo has the richest perfume line-up of the house calendars: seven eaux and absolus de parfum, among them a 50ml Bal d'Afrique, next to a body mist, a hair perfume, three candles, body care, two lipsticks and small objects. It is the only house calendar in the table with a euro price on an EU shop when we checked.

Diptyque has shown its 2026 calendar, a toolbox of 25 drawers made with the artist Jean-Simon Roch. The perfume part is six eaux de parfum beside candles, a hair mist, a solid perfume and body and hand care. The EU page still says the calendar will be revealed soon, so there was no euro price to read; the UK shop lists it for pre-order.

Jo Malone London calls its 2026 calendar the Christmas Kist: 25 days, twelve small colognes, a 30ml Tangerine & Honey cologne on the last day, and candles and body care in between. We found it on the house's UK shop only.

Penhaligon's lists a 2026 calendar of 24 gifts on its US shop, without a line-up yet. Its 2025 edition, still on the UK shop, also had 24 gifts, including a 30ml Halfeti.

The big perfume retailers sell their own multi-brand calendars too. We leave them out of this guide on purpose: we compare only calendars that a perfume house makes, or that we make ourselves.

Perfume in every door, or a bit of everything

The first question is what you want to open each morning. A house calendar is a tour of one house: its perfumes, its candles, its soap and a box you keep afterwards. If the person you are buying for already loves Diptyque or Jo Malone London, that is a lovely gift, and the extra candles and creams are part of the pleasure.

A decant calendar is a tour of perfume itself. Every door is a different scent, often from a different house, and every one is enough to wear for several days. By Christmas the person has worn 24 perfumes, or 12 in the niche edition, on their own skin, and usually knows which one they want as a full bottle. The door size matters as much as the door count. A 3ml decant is around 60 sprays, which covers about a week of daily wear. A small cologne or a hair mist gives a day or two of perfume and a feel for the scent; a candle gives none.

Value per ml: how to compare calendars fairly

A calendar's "worth" figure adds up everything inside it at full price, and every house counts it its own way. A fairer check is price per ml of perfume:

1. Count only the perfume: eaux de parfum, extraits, colognes. Leave out candles, lotions, soaps and objects.
2. Add up the millilitres.
3. Divide the price by that number.

For a house calendar this gives an upper bound, because part of the price pays for the candles and the body care. That is why the table says "at most" for Byredo. For our calendars every millilitre is perfume, so the figure is the real price per ml.

Then compare it with what the same perfume costs outside a calendar. A 3ml decant of Baccarat Rouge 540 on its own is €16.11, and a 30ml works out at €3.42/ml. A 3ml of Aventus is €12.51, and a 3ml of Angels' Share is €19.71. The advent calendar page shows what each edition's 24 or 12 decants would cost bought one by one, next to the calendar price. How to choose a perfume advent calendar

• Who is it for? Someone who loves one house will enjoy that house's calendar. Someone still looking for a signature scent gets more from 24 different perfumes.
• Perfume or a mix? If you want perfume in every door, check the line-up before you buy. Most house calendars list their contents on the product page.
• How big are the doors? Look for millilitres, not "deluxe size". A 3ml decant is a week or so of wear; a 9ml cologne is more.
• When does it arrive? Ours ship from 17 November 2026. Diptyque's UK pre-orders ship on 5 October. Check the date against 1 December.
• What happens after December? A good calendar ends with a clear favourite. With a decant calendar, the next step is a 10ml decant of that perfume, around 200 sprays, or a 30ml, around 600, before any full bottle.

Each 10ML calendar is a pre-order: the calendar ships from 17 November 2026, so it arrives before the first door opens on 1 December. Checkout and your order email both show the dispatch date.
