Amouage

Amouage was founded in Oman in 1983, and its perfumes still carry the country's long history with frankincense and resins. Expect rich, layered compositions: incense and labdanum, saffron and cardamom, rose and jasmine over sandalwood and oud, made to unfold slowly rather than announce themselves. Guidance is the newer face of the range, woody and softly fruity on a warm amber base. Interlude Man is the resinous, spicy one, while Reflection Man sets clean white florals over woods. Honour Woman is a bright, green tuberose for anyone who likes flowers with backbone. A small decant of two or three shows which side of Amouage suits you.
