Matière Première is a French niche house founded in Paris in 2019 by perfumer Aurélien Guichard, a member of a Grasse perfumery dynasty and the son of renowned nose Jean Guichard. True to its name, which means 'raw material,' the house builds each fragrance around a single central natural ingredient used in overdose—an exceptional 'farm-to-bottle' approach made possible by the Centifolia roses and other flowers Guichard cultivates on his own fields near Grasse. Through creations such as Radical Rose, Crystal Saffron and Parisian Musc, Matière Première offers an ingredient-led purity for those who prize naturals and the craft behind them.
