What does Angels' Share smell like?

Angels' Share by Kilian is a unisex scent from 2020, and it opens on one note: cognac. That boozy top then warms into a heart of cinnamon, tonka bean, oak and Hedione, so the spice and the barrel wood arrive together, kept airy rather than syrupy. The base is dessert: vanilla, praline, sandalwood and candied almond.

The accords read woody, warm spicy, sweet, vanilla, cinnamon, amber and powdery. For anyone weighing a clone, the cognac and the oak are the parts to listen for. The name itself points at the barrel: the drinkable, wood-aged opening is the signature.

Angels' Share, Paradis or On The Rocks?

10ML sells three Angels' Share scents. The votes and threads behind the five picks all measure them against the 2020 original, never a flanker. Angels' Share Paradis, from 2025, keeps the cognac but adds raspberry and liquor on top, Bulgarian rose and oakmoss in the heart, and a base of oak, sandalwood and praline: fruitier and more floral. Angels' Share On The Rocks, also from 2025, lists a brighter top of cognac, grapefruit, bergamot and aldehydes.

Kismet Magic by Maison Alhambra, sold earlier as Kismet Angel, is backed from three directions: a Parfumo vote, a forum owner and a Fragrantica editor. On Parfumo's Kismet Magic page against the Kilian, roughly nine out of ten voters see the pair as alike. Fragrantica's Elena Prokofeva names it, in a Fragrantica editorial, among the more affordable scents that borrow the note pyramid and bottle design of Angels' Share.

The main difference is staying power. A forum member who owns both Kismet Magic and Khamrah finds Kismet Magic extremely close to the original, but says it does not hold on as well.

It suits someone who wants the cognac-and-cinnamon effect in a full bottle and is fine with spraying again later in the day. Basis: a Parfumo vote, a forum owner and a Fragrantica editorial.

Zikra by Lattafa rests on one detailed comparison. A member on its Fragrantica page who has tried many Angels' Share alternatives finds Zikra the closest: the cognac opening stays, and cinnamon and vanilla follow, the order the original lists them in. On Parfumo's comparison of Zikra and Angels' Share, about seven in eight voting members find the pair similar.

The main difference is strength, and here the members disagree. Others on the same Fragrantica page report weak performance from the 20ml bottle, so the likeness one member describes may come with less presence.

It suits someone who cares most about the cognac turning into cinnamon and vanilla, and who will check on their own skin how strong it is. Basis: one Fragrantica member's comparison across many alternatives, other members' doubts, and Parfumo's vote.

No pick here has a more lopsided Parfumo result than Royal Blend by French Avenue: on its comparison with the Kilian, over nine tenths of those voting see a likeness. In a Fragrantica forum thread comparing the Kilian with Khamrah, members name Royal Blend as the closest Angels' Share alternative.

The main difference is weight. A member on its Fragrantica page who has worn Angels' Share many times finds Royal Blend lighter, airier and less boozy. Another finds it less loud and less heavy than the original.

Of the five bottles, Emir's Fire Your Desire carries the smallest price tag. Nearly four in five voting members on Parfumo's Fire Your Desire page against Angels' Share find the two similar, and Elena Prokofeva lists it in the same Fragrantica editorial among the scents that borrow the Kilian's pyramid and bottle.

The main difference is that nobody we found describes it in detail. The evidence is a smaller vote and a place on the editor's list, with no member write-up of how it opens or settles.

It suits someone who wants to try the cognac-gourmand style for the smallest outlay and accepts thinner evidence. Basis: Parfumo's vote and the Fragrantica editor's list.

Afnan's Revival, an extrait de parfum, carries the highest bottle price of the five. Its evidence is small: on Parfumo's Revival comparison, 9 of 11 voting members find it similar to Angels' Share.

Its format is the one difference on record: an extrait. With so few votes and no member write-up, treat the likeness as promising rather than settled.

Kilian prices, and why the 3ml is the smart first step

At Kilian prices, the smallest size earns its place. A 3ml of Angels' Share, around 60 sprays, costs 19,35 €: enough for a week of wearing the real cognac opening before you spend on any bottle. Khamrah by Lattafa, which 10ML stocks, is the similar original that search most often pairs with Angels' Share, and its Parfumo vote is the most divided: on its comparison page, 496 of 1,107 voting members find the two similar. It builds on cinnamon, nutmeg and bergamot, then dates, praline and tuberose, over vanilla, tonka bean, amberwood, myrrh and benzoin. Members in a Fragrantica forum thread find it much sweeter and lighter, led by dates, with less cinnamon, and Fragrantica's Elena Prokofeva calls it an independent sweet oriental scent in her editorial.

Cognac, cinnamon, tonka and vanilla also turn up, in different company, in three more originals we decant. Cognac is the only top note Angels' Share lists, so the opening is where a clone is easiest to catch out.
