What does Angels' Share smell like?
Angels' Share by Kilian is a unisex scent from 2020, and it opens on one note: cognac. That boozy top then warms into a heart of cinnamon, tonka bean, oak and Hedione, so the spice and the barrel wood arrive together, kept airy rather than syrupy. The base is dessert: vanilla, praline, sandalwood and candied almond.
The accords read woody, warm spicy, sweet, vanilla, cinnamon, amber and powdery. For anyone weighing a clone, the cognac and the oak are the parts to listen for. The name itself points at the barrel: the drinkable, wood-aged opening is the signature.
Angels' Share, Paradis or On The Rocks?
10ML sells three Angels' Share scents. The votes and threads behind the six picks all measure them against the 2020 original, never a flanker. Angels' Share Paradis, from 2025, keeps the cognac but adds raspberry and liquor on top, Bulgarian rose and oakmoss in the heart, and a base of oak, sandalwood and praline: fruitier and more floral. Angels' Share On The Rocks, also from 2025, lists a brighter top of cognac, grapefruit, bergamot and aldehydes.
If it is one of the flankers you love, no pick below has been compared with it, so wearing the real version is the only reliable route.
| Scent | Year | Note profile | Pick compared with it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Angels' Share | 2020 | As set out in the section above | All six picks |
| Paradis | 2025 | Cognac with raspberry and rose over oak and praline | No pick |
| On The Rocks | 2025 | Cognac with grapefruit, bergamot and aldehydes | No pick |

Best overall: Kismet Magic
Kismet Magic by Maison Alhambra, sold earlier as Kismet Angel, is backed from three directions: a Parfumo vote, a forum owner and a Fragrantica editor. On Parfumo's Kismet Magic page against the Kilian, roughly nine out of ten voters see the pair as alike. Fragrantica's Elena Prokofeva names it, in a Fragrantica editorial, among the more affordable scents that borrow the note pyramid and bottle design of Angels' Share.
The main difference is staying power. A forum member who owns both Kismet Magic and Khamrah finds Kismet Magic extremely close to the original, but says it does not hold on as well.
It suits someone who wants the cognac-and-cinnamon effect in a full bottle and is fine with spraying again later in the day. Basis: a Parfumo vote, a forum owner and a Fragrantica editorial.

Closest on the dry-down: Zikra
Zikra by Lattafa rests on one detailed comparison. A member on its Fragrantica page who has tried many Angels' Share alternatives finds Zikra the closest: the cognac opening stays, and cinnamon and vanilla follow, the order the original lists them in. On Parfumo's comparison of Zikra and Angels' Share, about seven in eight voting members find the pair similar.
The main difference is strength, and here the members disagree. Others on the same Fragrantica page report weak performance from the 20ml bottle, so the likeness one member describes may come with less presence.
It suits someone who cares most about the cognac turning into cinnamon and vanilla, and who will check on their own skin how strong it is. Basis: one Fragrantica member's comparison across many alternatives, other members' doubts, and Parfumo's vote.

Softer take: Royal Blend
No pick here has a more lopsided Parfumo result than Royal Blend by French Avenue: on its comparison with the Kilian, over nine tenths of those voting see a likeness. In a Fragrantica forum thread comparing the Kilian with Khamrah, members name Royal Blend as the closest Angels' Share alternative.
The main difference is weight. A member on its Fragrantica page who has worn Angels' Share many times finds Royal Blend lighter, airier and less boozy. Another finds it less loud and less heavy than the original.
It is for the wearer who wants Angels' Share in a quieter register, or who finds the original too rich or too strong for close quarters. Basis: the Parfumo vote and two Fragrantica members.

Sweeter take: Khamrah
Khamrah by Lattafa is the answer to the Lattafa Angels' Share dupe search, and it has the most divided vote here. It has drawn the largest turnout of any pick on Parfumo, yet on its comparison page fewer than half of those voters find it similar to Angels' Share.
The main difference is dates and sugar. Members in the Fragrantica thread on the two find Khamrah much sweeter and lighter than Angels' Share, led by dates, with less cinnamon. Fragrantica's Elena Prokofeva goes further in her editorial: she calls Khamrah an independent sweet oriental scent with honey and dates, not a stand-in for the Kilian.
It suits someone who wants a date-and-honey gourmand in the same mood and does not need the cognac to lead. Basis: Parfumo's split vote, Fragrantica forum members and Fragrantica's editor.

Lowest price: Fire Your Desire
Of the six bottles, Emir's Fire Your Desire carries the smallest price tag. Nearly four in five voting members on Parfumo's Fire Your Desire page against Angels' Share find the two similar, and Elena Prokofeva lists it in the same Fragrantica editorial among the scents that borrow the Kilian's pyramid and bottle.
The main difference is that nobody we found describes it in detail. The evidence is a smaller vote and a place on the editor's list, with no member write-up of how it opens or settles.
It suits someone who wants to try the cognac-gourmand style for the smallest outlay and accepts thinner evidence. Basis: Parfumo's vote and the Fragrantica editor's list.

Premium alternative: Revival
Afnan's Revival, an extrait de parfum, carries the highest bottle price of the six. Its evidence is small: on Parfumo's Revival comparison, 9 of 11 voting members find it similar to Angels' Share.
Its format is the one difference on record: an extrait. With so few votes and no member write-up, treat the likeness as promising rather than settled.
Pick it if extrait strength appeals and you are happy to judge it on your own skin. Basis: a small Parfumo vote only.

What the six have in common, and where they drift
Where the written evidence names a difference, it is sweetness, weight or staying power. Khamrah turns sweeter and lighter, led by dates, Royal Blend is lighter and less boozy, and Kismet Magic and Zikra draw remarks about how much presence they have. The one detailed account of a cognac opening that holds is the Zikra member's.
Two picks, Fire Your Desire and Revival, rest on Parfumo votes with little written comment, so they are the ones to approach with the most care. For a darker tobacco-and-vanilla original and its clones, our Tobacco Vanille dupes guide runs the same comparison, and the best Kilian perfumes sets Angels' Share among the rest of the house.
Kilian prices, and why the 3ml is the smart first step
At Kilian prices, the smallest size earns its place. A 3ml of Angels' Share, around 60 sprays, costs €19.35: enough for a week of wearing the real cognac opening before you spend on any bottle. Going up a size, the 10ml decant (around 200 sprays) is €51.39, or €5.14/ml; for around 600 sprays, the 30ml costs €128.70 and brings the rate down to €4.29/ml.
Set against any Kilian decant, each of the six clone bottles works out far lower per ml, so if you already know you want a big bottle to wear daily, a clone is the lower spend. If you are not sure whether you want the cognac at all, the 3ml settles it first. Our price per ml index compares the whole catalogue, and this guide to decants versus full bottles walks through the choice.
Authentic perfumes with the same boozy warmth
Cognac, cinnamon, tonka and vanilla also turn up, in different company, in three originals we decant. Can't Get Enough by Initio Parfums Prives is the nearest on paper: cognac, cinnamon, tonka bean and oak, set under bitter orange, citrus, aldehydes and an ice note. Jazz Club by Maison Margiela trades the cognac for rum and adds tobacco, styrax and vetiver over tonka bean and vanilla, a smokier route. Pure XS by Rabanne pairs liquor, cinnamon and vanilla with ginger, apple, leather and sugar, a spicier, apple-led take. All three come in decant sizes, so one can sit beside the Kilian in the same week.
How to test a dupe
Cognac is the only top note Angels' Share lists, so the opening is where a clone is easiest to catch out. Spend one day in the Kilian and the next in the clone, and note whether the booze is still there once it has settled, whether cinnamon or dates take over in the heart, and how sweet the almond-and-praline base feels late in the day.
The 3ml of Angels' Share gives you enough for those days. If decants are new to you, read how a decant is filled and why it beats a blind buy.
Clone or original? What to know first
- Can I try Angels' Share in a 3ml before I pick a clone?
- Yes. Angels' Share is decanted to order in three sizes, each filled from the original bottle. Around 60 sprays come in the 3ml at €19.35, a week of wear with the real cognac opening; a 10ml decant, around 200 sprays, costs €51.39.
- Which Angels' Share dupe sits at the top of this guide?
- Kismet Magic by Maison Alhambra. About nine in ten Parfumo voters find it similar, an owner on the Fragrantica forum calls it extremely close, and Fragrantica's editor lists it among the scents that borrow the Kilian's pyramid. That same owner says it does not hold on as well.
- Is Khamrah the Lattafa dupe of Angels' Share?
- It is the Lattafa scent that search usually leads to, but the evidence is split. Fewer than half of Parfumo's voters find it similar, forum members on Fragrantica find it much sweeter and lighter and led by dates, and Fragrantica's editor calls it an independent sweet oriental scent with honey and dates.
- What does Zikra keep from Angels' Share, and what does it lose?
- One Fragrantica member who has tried many alternatives finds that Zikra keeps the cognac opening and then brings in cinnamon and vanilla, which is why this guide labels it closest. What it may lose is strength: other members on the same page report weak performance from the 20ml bottle.
- Do any of the clones follow Angels' Share Paradis or On The Rocks?
- Not on the evidence in this guide: every vote and forum thread compares its pick with the original 2020 scent. Paradis adds raspberry and rose, On The Rocks a citrus and aldehyde top. A 3ml of Paradis is €21.78 if that is the version you want.
- How do the clones compare per ml with a Kilian decant?
- Each of the six clone bottles, at its dated price, costs far less per ml than a decant of Angels' Share, which is €5.14/ml in the 10ml size. The decant is the cheaper way to find out whether you want the original at all: the 3ml is €19.35.
