Clive Christian is a British house whose modern collection launched in 1999, with roots in a London perfumer established in 1872. The style is rich and generous: amber, sandalwood and vanilla at the heart, bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper on top, and jasmine or rose in between. Start with X For Men, or its partner X For Women, which is fruity and sweet over woods. 1872 Masculine and 1872 For Women carry the old London date in their names. Blonde Amber is warm, woody and gently spiced, and Jump Up And Kiss Me Hedonistic adds cherry to amber and woods.
