Creed dates its story to 1760, and its perfumes still share a bright, tailored style that reads as effortless rather than loud. Citrus and bergamot open most of them, then ambergris, musk and sandalwood give a clean, smooth finish. Aventus is the name people ask about first: fruity and sweet up top, dry and woody underneath.
