Diptyque

Diptyque opened in Paris in 1961 as a Saint-Germain shop run by three friends selling printed fabrics, then moved into candles in 1963 and perfume by 1968. The scents here are quiet and textured: iris and black tea, cedar and sandalwood, softened with musk and lifted by pink pepper or bergamot. Start with Philosykos, a green, woody scent with a bright, fresh opening. Tam Dao is creamy wood with a gentle spice. Do Son takes flowers somewhere light and powdery.
