Giorgio Armani

Giorgio Armani was founded in Italy in 1975 by the designer Giorgio Armani and the architect Sergio Galeotti, around clothes that felt relaxed and quietly elegant. Perfume followed in 1982, and the scents share that restraint. Expect clean citrus from bergamot, lemon and green mandarin, soft lavender and sage, and a comfortable base of vanilla, tonka bean and amber. Si is the one to try first, a woody vanilla with an aromatic edge. Stronger With You Intensely is sweeter and warmer, all vanilla and amber, while Armani Code keeps citrus close to smooth leather. My Way centres on white flowers and tuberose. For something airy, Acqua di Giò Profondo takes a marine, aromatic route. Chestnut and pear turn up here and there, a small quirk of the range.
