Mancera is a French niche house that opened in 2008, and its perfumes are rich, sweet and made to be noticed. Vanilla, amber and white musk form the base, with jasmine, sandalwood and ambergris in the middle and bursts of black currant, pear or pink pepper on top. Cedrat Boise is the classic start: citrus and fruit on a woody base. Red Tobacco goes darker, warm spice and tobacco. Instant Crush sits between them, woody and spiced with a vanilla softness. The range splits evenly across men, women and unisex, so there is room to wander.
