Montblanc

Montblanc started in Germany in 1906 as a maker of writing instruments, and its perfumes carry the same crisp, tidy precision. The range is mostly for men and built on citrus and wood: bergamot, pink pepper, ginger and clary sage up front, with vetiver, cedar, patchouli and a touch of leather beneath. Explorer is the one to start with, woody and citrusy with an aromatic lift. Starwalker, from 2005, is the older, fresh and spicy take. Explorer Ultra Blue adds a marine edge, and Explorer Extreme pushes deeper into wood and patchouli. The newest, Explorer Infinite, arrived in 2026.
