Nasomatto is an Italian niche house that Alessandro Gualtieri launched in 2007, and its perfumes are strange in the best way. Short names, unusual materials and a refusal to play it safe. Across the range you meet ambrette, leather, animal notes and agarwood next to black rose, birch, coffee, chocolate and even cannabis, all on an earthy, mossy, woody frame. Start with Fantomas, Black Afgano or Absinth, each a different door into the house. Almost every one is unisex. A small size is the right way in here: some take a few wears to understand.
