Parfums de Marly is a French niche house that Julien Sprecher started in 2009, who looked to the old royal court and the Château de Marly for its spirit. The style is polished and generous. Bergamot and mandarin open many of the scents, vanilla, sandalwood and musk carry the base, and cardamom, cinnamon or pink pepper add warmth. Valaya is soft and clean, a musky citrus for easy days. Delina is a fruity rose with a pink, bright mood. Layton mixes fresh and warm spice over woods, and Althaïr keeps things simple and woody.
