Toskovat'

Toskovat' is a Bucharest perfume house, started in Romania in 2022 by David-Lev Jipa-Slivinschi and named after toska, a Russian word for a deep longing that is hard to put into English. Jipa-Slivinschi is self-taught and studied film before turning to perfume, and it shows: each scent is built like a scene, meant to stir a feeling or a memory rather than simply smell pretty. Expect the unexpected. Vanilla and amaretto sit next to beeswax, candle wax, bread, bubble gum, concrete and even blood. Amaretto in the Melting Room is the sweetest door into the house. Born Screaming, Inexcusable Evil and Pornstar (Noyau Doux) push further, with titles that are part of the story. Everything here is unisex.
