What does Gucci Bloom smell like?

Gucci Bloom by Gucci is a white floral built around tuberose. Its published notes run from jasmine on top to tuberose in the heart and Rangoon creeper in the base, and its accords are white floral and tuberose. The house's own page is Gucci Bloom Eau de Parfum, Gucci. Fragrantica members quoted below describe it as humid, green, fresh and linear. Keep that picture in mind: each clone bends it in a different direction, towards milkier, sweeter, woodier or more bitter.

Gucci Bloom Intense

Gucci Bloom Intense is the other version we stock. The catalogue lists pear, ginger and mandarin orange on top, a heart of tuberose, night blooming jasmine, jasmine sambac and orange blossom, and a base of patchouli, moss and coconut. A member of the Fragrantica forum calls it "the new darker flanker". None of the sources behind this guide ties a clone to the Intense, so every pick below is read against the original.

Going by the lists, Floral Honeysuckle by Dossier shares jasmine and tuberose with Bloom. Dossier presents it as inspired by Bloom, and its page lists green leaves, orange and honeysuckle, then jasmine sambac and tuberose, over orris, sandalwood and vanilla. Bloom's list has no honeysuckle, orris or vanilla, and Dossier's list has no Rangoon creeper.

The main difference comes from Fragrantica members who know both. They find it very close, and each names something that changes. One finds it not as heavy and more green and fresh. Another says it swaps Bloom's humid green opening for a rounder, milkier white floral. A third finds it opens sweeter and less spicy, then wears more like Bloom as it fades.

It suits you if you like Bloom but find it heavy, or if you want a rounder start. Wear it for the whole day, because the member who says it settles towards Bloom is talking about the fade.

The sources give no note list for Floral Bloom by Maison Alhambra, so there is no shared-notes comparison to make. What exists is two short Fragrantica posts. It suits you if you want to start from the citrus side of a white floral, and the lists are your only guide.

Kim Kardashian by Kim Kardashian has mixed evidence, and the sources give no note list. A Fragrantica member who returned to it finds it sweeter than Bloom and woodier in the dry-down, a lower-priced alternative rather than a dupe. Fracas by Robert Piguet is not a clone, and the evidence is a single comparison. A Fragrantica forum member who owns Fracas and wants to replace Bloom finds Fracas headier and more distinctive, a little less sweet, truer to a realistic tuberose and longer-lasting. The same member calls Bloom the more basic of the two.

The sources give no note list for either, so the difference is character: more presence, less sweetness, a tuberose that reads as the real flower. Test on skin, not on a paper strip, which flatters the opening and hides the fade. The members above split on both: a humid green start against a milky one, and a fade that settles towards Bloom or away from it.
