Lacoste is a French fashion house founded in Paris in 1933 by the tennis champion René Lacoste and the entrepreneur André Gillier, and its emblem comes from the nickname "the Crocodile" that an American journalist gave René in 1923. The house has belonged to the Swiss group Maus Frères since 2012, and since 1 January 2024 its fragrances are made under a 15-year licence by Interparfums. Its women's range includes Lacoste Pour Femme, a floral woody eau de parfum launched in 2003.
