Laurent Mazzone Parfums is a French house that Laurent Mazzone launched in 2010. He started playing with scent as a child by mixing his mother's perfumes. Each creation starts from something he felt or lived. The style is warm and rich: vanilla, benzoin and labdanum form the base, heliotrope adds powder, and oud brings a darker, woody side. Sensual & Decadent, from 2015, shows it well. Ylang-ylang and a tart flash of rhubarb open it before a deep, powdery vanilla and amber take over. Save it for cool evenings, when its sweetness feels most at home.
