Profumum Roma is an Italian niche house that opened its doors in 2003, working with a short list of ingredients and very little fuss. The bottles are plain so the scent does the talking. What 10ML carries from the house leans warm and a touch spicy: mandarin and bergamot at the start, anise and pimento for bite, then amber, Indian patchouli and Haitian vetiver to finish dry and earthy. Confetto is the place to begin, a unisex scent that works on anyone who likes a sweet edge with some grit underneath. Spray it on a wrist and give it an afternoon before you judge.
