How we pick
The finder does not guess who someone is. It narrows the catalogue to perfumes that are easy to wear, then gives you one from each of three families, so the person you are buying for can find their own direction.
- Only what you can buy today. Every pick is a perfume we list with a 3 ml size, at the price the site shows right now.
- Easy to wear first. We leave out perfumes built on oud, leather, tobacco, incense or animal notes, and any the community votes rate as enormous in projection or weak in staying power. A gift for someone whose taste you do not know should not need an acquired taste.
- Three families. Each perfume is sorted as fresh, warm or sweet from its own notes, with the same rules as our discovery set builder. The sorting reads the notes, not the person.
- One from each, no house twice. Inside a family we rank by how often shoppers choose and review a perfume on our site, then by fit with your answers: who it is for, when they would wear it and how noticeable it should be.
- Nothing guessed about them. Your answers decide which family leads. They never claim to know the person, which is why the trio spans three directions.

What perfume should I give someone when I do not know their taste?
Give a choice, not a guess. Three 3 ml perfumes from three families (fresh, warm and sweet) cover the main directions, and the one they reach for shows what they like. This finder builds that trio from four quick questions about the person.
Why 3 ml, and how long does it last?
A 3 ml decant holds roughly 20 to 40 sprays at the usual pump output of 0.07 to 0.14 ml. At 2 to 4 sprays a wear, that is roughly 5 to 20 wears, enough to live with a perfume before choosing a bigger size. For any other size, see how long a bottle of perfume lasts.
How are the three perfumes chosen?
From the perfumes we list with a 3 ml size, minus the divisive ones, sorted into fresh, warm and sweet by their notes. Inside each family we rank by how often shoppers choose and review a perfume on our site, then by how well it fits your answers. Nothing in the ranking is invented, and the ranking itself is never shown.
Where do the perfumes come from?
We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself.
