Salvatore Ferragamo began in Florence in 1927, and its perfumes carry the same Italian taste for polish and warmth. The range here is mostly feminine and quite sweet: rose, peony and jasmine sit up front, with a creamy panacotta note, patchouli and soft musk underneath. Signorina, from 2011, is the classic starting point, pink pepper and black currant opening onto a sweet rose.
