Creed Dupes 2026: 7 Clones vs the Original
Seven Creed clones for Green Irish Tweed, Silver Mountain Water, Viking and Aventus for Her, with what members say each keeps and changes. Or wear the original in 3ml or 10ml first.
In this guide
We sell only the originals. Every perfume we sell is the authentic original, decanted from the perfume house’s own bottle. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. We never sell dupes, clones or inspired-by perfumes. This guide compares the dupes other houses make of Green Irish Tweed, so you can choose, or wear the original first.

This guide covers four Creed perfumes: Green Irish Tweed, Viking, Silver Mountain Water and Aventus for Her. Aventus and Virgin Island Water have their own guides: read Creed Aventus dupes and Virgin Island Water dupes. For the house as a whole, start with the best Creed perfumes.
Each clone below is judged against one named Creed, using what members and the clone house itself say. Viking is the honest gap: no clone for it has solid support.
What does Green Irish Tweed smell like?
Green Irish Tweed by Creed is a men's perfume launched in 1985, listed for work. It opens on iris and vervain. Violet leaf sits in the heart. The base holds ambergris and sandalwood. That short pyramid is the target every clone below aims at, so a good one has to get both the opening and the dry-down right. Creed's own page for it is here.

Closest on the dry-down: Green Verbena
Dossier presents Green Verbena as inspired by Green Irish Tweed. Its list runs verbena, peppermint and green leaves, then violet leaves, orris and an aquatic accord, over sandalwood, grey amber and patchouli. Going by the lists, the base swaps ambergris for grey amber and adds patchouli.
The main difference is the opening. On Fragrantica, a member who owns both says Green Verbena misses the top note but smells very close in the dry-down. Another member calls it very similar to Green Irish Tweed, green, minty and soapy.
It suits you if the settled scent matters more than the first minute. If the opening is the part you love, wear the original first.

Softer take: Tres Nuit
Armaf's Tres Nuit splits opinion. On a Fragrantica forum thread about Green Irish Tweed clones, members agree it has a nice scent close to the original but weak performance, and another member finds its sillage very poor next to the Creed.
The notes line up on paper. Parfumo's comparison page shows 215 of 265 voting members finding Tres Nuit similar to Green Irish Tweed, with vervain, lemon, lavender, violet and ambergris in both pyramids.
The main difference is feel. A member in another thread found it too sweet and powdery, and Fragrantica's accord list for it leads with powdery, violet and lavender.
There is dissent too. One member of a thread comparing the two finds Tres Nuit closer to Cool Water than to Green Irish Tweed. It suits you if you want the idea at a quiet volume and accept that views differ.

Premium alternative: Chez Bond
Chez Bond by Bond No. 9 is a different house's take, not a saving: in the price table on this page it sits above the original per ml.
Parfumo's comparison page shows 87 of 117 voting members finding it similar to Green Irish Tweed. The main difference, according to Fragrantica members, is softness: they describe a creamier take with an added tea note. One finds it less bright and sweeter, and another still prefers the Creed.
A Basenotes member calls it Green Irish Tweed's softer sister and suggests trying both before you buy. That is sound advice here. It suits you if you like the original but want it rounder, and you are happy to pay for a different house.
What does Creed Viking smell like?
Viking by Creed is a men's perfume launched in 2017. It opens on bergamot, lemon and pink pepper. The heart holds rose, peppermint and lavender, and the base is vetiver and patchouli.

Fresher take: Seven Seas
Seven Seas by Alexandria Fragrances is the only Viking comparison we found, and the support is thin. A Fragrantica member calls it a fresher take on Viking: Viking is spicier, more polished and rounder, while Seven Seas is fresher, brighter and mintier. Fragrantica lists pink pepper, bergamot and lemon, then mint, pink pepper and rose, over lavender, vetiver, sandalwood and patchouli.
Several members who own both disagree on closeness. They say Seven Seas gives a Viking feel in the air but is not Viking up close, with a louder lemon and bergamot opening.
It suits you if you want a brighter, mintier mood in the Viking direction and do not need Viking itself. If you want Viking itself, try Viking.
What does Silver Mountain Water smell like?
Silver Mountain Water by Creed is a unisex perfume launched in 1995, listed for work. The top is bergamot and mandarin orange. The heart is green tea and black currant. The base is musk, sandalwood, galbanum and petitgrain.

Best overall: Club de Nuit Sillage
Armaf's Club de Nuit Sillage has the strongest evidence of the seven. Parfumo's comparison page shows 358 of 382 voting members finding it similar to Silver Mountain Water, with bergamot, blackcurrant, musk and sandalwood in both pyramids.
A Basenotes member calls it a pretty close clone that opens a little stronger and moves nearer as it settles. Another finds it more synthetic, less green and less cold than the Creed.
The main difference, according to Fragrantica members, is volume: they find the scent profile very similar, but the opening sharper and more synthetic and the wear far longer. One member says it belongs to the same family but is not a match for the Creed.
It suits you if you want the Silver Mountain Water idea with more presence and can live with a louder start.

Lowest price: Musky Green Tea
Musky Green Tea is the second Dossier pick. Dossier presents it as inspired by Silver Mountain Water and lists green tea, bergamot and mandarin, then petitgrain, neroli and blackcurrant, over musk, sandalwood and orris.
On Fragrantica, a member who compared it with a Silver Mountain Water sample finds the opening brighter, more citrusy and harsher, but the dry-down very close. Another member says it smells like Silver Mountain Water.
The main difference is again the first minutes. It suits you if you will mostly judge a perfume late in the day, once it has settled.
What does Aventus for Her smell like?
Aventus for Her by Creed is a women's perfume launched in 2016, listed for going out. The top is green apple, bergamot, lemon, patchouli, pink pepper and violet. The heart holds musk, rose, sandalwood and styrax. The base brings black currant, peach, amber, lilac and ylang-ylang.

Sweeter take: L'Aventure Femme
Al Haramain's L'Aventure Femme has solid numbers. Parfumo's comparison page shows 62 of 68 voting members finding it similar to Aventus for Her.
The main difference is sweetness. Fragrantica members who own Aventus for Her find L'Aventure Femme a bit sweeter, with a bright pineapple and blackcurrant opening where the Creed opens drier on apple, lemon and violet. Fragrantica lists vanilla in its base, a note Creed's pyramid does not list.
It suits you if you want the Aventus for Her idea with a sweeter lean. If you prefer the drier opening, the original is the one to wear.

What every Creed clone gets wrong
Read the accounts above together and one pattern shows. Several members place the gap in the opening. Green Verbena misses the top note, Musky Green Tea opens brighter and harsher, Club de Nuit Sillage opens sharper and Seven Seas opens louder on lemon and bergamot. For Green Verbena, Musky Green Tea and Club de Nuit Sillage, members find the dry-down closest.
So judge a Creed clone late, not on the first spray. And if ambergris in a pyramid puzzles you, our guide to ambergris versus ambroxan explains why the note matters to the base.
Other fresh originals to wear while you decide
If you want more green and tea in your rotation, we also fill Mefisto by Xerjoff, which opens on grapefruit, bergamot and Amalfi lemon with lavender, iris and rose in the heart. Eau Parfumée au Thé Vert by Bvlgari carries green tea and cardamom. The Matcha 26 by Le Labo pairs matcha and white tea with fig. Elysium Pour Homme Eau Intense by Roja Dove opens on grapefruit, rhubarb and lime.
How to test a Creed clone against the original
Skin tells you more than a paper strip. A strip shows the opening, and the opening is where members say several of these clones part ways with the original.
Wear the original on one day and the clone on another, on the same wrist, and judge both late in the day, once each has settled. That matches where members say several of the clones come closest.
Start with a 3ml decant of the original, about 60 sprays to discover it over several days. The 10ml decant has about 200 sprays to wear for weeks, and the 30ml about 600 to keep. Our guide to what a decant is covers how we fill them, and buying blind helps if you are choosing between several. If a perfume fades quickly on you, see how to make perfume last longer.

Clone or original? What to know first
- Can I wear Green Irish Tweed in 3ml or 10ml before choosing a Creed clone?
- Yes. We fill 3ml, 10ml and 30ml decants from the original bottle. The 3ml is €12.24 and gives about 60 sprays to discover it, the 10ml decant is €34.20 for about 200 sprays to wear for weeks, and the 30ml has about 600 to keep.
- Which Creed dupe leads our ranking, and why?
- Club de Nuit Sillage by Armaf, a Silver Mountain Water clone. 358 of 382 voting Parfumo members find it similar, and a Basenotes member calls it a pretty close clone. Fragrantica members add a sharper, more synthetic opening. It is a Silver Mountain Water pick, not a Green Irish Tweed one.
- How close does a Green Irish Tweed dupe like Green Verbena get?
- A Fragrantica member who owns both says Green Verbena misses the top note but smells very close in the dry-down. Another member calls it very similar, green, minty and soapy. So it keeps the settled scent and changes the opening.
- Is there a Creed Viking dupe?
- Not with solid support. One Fragrantica member calls Seven Seas by Alexandria Fragrances a fresher, mintier take on Viking, but several members who own both say it gives a Viking feel in the air and is not Viking up close. If you want Viking, wear Viking.
- Is there a Creed Silver Mountain Water dupe worth trying?
- Two Silver Mountain Water clones have support. Club de Nuit Sillage by Armaf leads on the Parfumo numbers, and Musky Green Tea by Dossier is the budget pick. A Fragrantica member finds Musky Green Tea's opening brighter and harsher but its dry-down very close.
- How do the Creed clones compare per ml with a decant?
- Green Irish Tweed in the 10ml decant costs €3.42/ml per ml. The clones are full bottles, and their dated prices are in the table on this page. Chez Bond sits above the original per ml, so it is a different house's take, not a saving.
- Which Creed clones share the original's named notes?
- Going by the lists, Parfumo shows vervain, lemon, lavender, violet and ambergris in both Tres Nuit and Green Irish Tweed, and bergamot, blackcurrant, musk and sandalwood in both Club de Nuit Sillage and Silver Mountain Water. Lists show shared notes, not how a perfume wears.
- How long does Green Irish Tweed last on skin?
- It depends on your skin and the weather. The surest way to find out is a 3ml decant at €12.24: wear it for a few days and judge it late in the day.
- Does 10ML sell dupes?
- No. 10ML sells only original perfumes. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. The dupes in this guide are other houses’ perfumes, and we don’t sell them. You can wear the original first from €12.24.
