Gris Dior Dupes 2026: 6 Clones vs the Original
Six clones of Gris Dior, ranked from the sources that compare them, and what each one changes. Try the original in a decant before you choose.
In this guide
We sell only the originals. Every perfume we sell is the authentic original, decanted from the perfume house’s own bottle. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. We never sell dupes, clones or inspired-by perfumes. This guide compares the dupes other houses make of Gris Dior, so you can choose, or wear the original first.

What does Gris Dior smell like?
Gris Dior was sold as Gris Montaigne until Dior renamed it, and Fragrantica says the composition is the same. Dior's own page describes citrus, rose, violet and oak moss. The sources agree on one frame: a rose, patchouli and oakmoss chypre, with bergamot in the opening. Parfumo's comparison page calls it powdery and sweet. It is unisex, so one bottle can serve two people. The six clones below approach that frame from different directions. One wins on votes, one on the dry-down, one on price, and three change the mood: fresher, darker or sweeter.

Best overall: Evoke for Her
Evoke for Her by Ajmal leads this ranking on votes. Parfumo's comparison page shows 86 of 110 voting members finding it similar to Gris Dior. The two share patchouli, and Evoke adds pink pepper, iris, labdanum and vanilla.
The main difference depends on who you ask. On Fragrantica one commenter finds a strong resemblance with a deeper rose, and calls Gris Dior the more herbal and earthy of the two. Others disagree: they find Evoke thicker, or fresher with citrus where Gris Dior is dirtier. A member of a Fragrantica forum thread suggests it for Gris Dior fans and finds it a bit more feminine, brighter and less rosy.
Choose it if you want the clone with the broadest backing and you are happy to let the rose land a little differently. Because the reports pull in opposite directions on the rose, wear it on skin before you decide.

Closest on the dry-down: Grise
Grise by Maison Alhambra earns its place on the dry-down. A Fragrantica commenter who wore Grise and Gris Dior together finds the dry-down is where they are most similar, very close. Another commenter finds them very close once the opening has passed.
The main difference sits at the start. According to the first commenter, Grise opens sharper, with more rose and patchouli and less bergamot than Gris Dior. Maison Alhambra has since renamed it Gray Ash, so search for both names when you shop.
Choose Grise if you spend most of the day in the late hours of a perfume and care less about the first minutes. If the opening matters to you, expect a different first impression.

Lowest price: Fleur de Patchouli
Fleur de Patchouli by Zara has the lowest price of the six, and the table on this page shows it. A Fragrantica commenter who owns Gris Dior finds it very similar, with the same airy feel and a clean patchouli. The same commenter then adds that it is sweeter and simpler, and that the patchouli stands out more.
Treat that as one person's report. The comment mentions peony, which Zara's current listing no longer names. That listing describes bergamot over patchouli and white musk, part of a collection designed with Jo Malone. Today's bottle may not give you the same result as the one reviewed.
Choose it if price decides and you are comfortable with a simpler, sweeter patchouli.

Fresher take: EdenFalls
EdenFalls by M. Micallef is a style alternative rather than a clone. In a Fragrantica forum thread about scents like Gris Dior, one member who loves Gris Dior names it as a fresher version of that style. It rests on that one mention.
Fragrantica lists bergamot, pink pepper and mandarin over jasmine and neroli, with musk, vanilla, patchouli and moss underneath. Going by the list, the opening leans on citrus and white florals, while Gris Dior leans on rose.
Choose it if you like the grey, mossy mood of Gris Dior but want it brighter. Its price in the table sits between Zara and the original.

Darker take: Eau Capitale
Eau Capitale by Diptyque pulls the other way. Parfumo's comparison page shows 32 of 89 voting members finding it similar to Gris Dior. It also classes Eau Capitale as spicy and earthy where Gris Dior is powdery and sweet.
A member of the same forum thread who loves Gris Dior finds Eau Capitale gives similar vibes. Diptyque describes a chypre where roses follow bergamot sharpened with pink pepper, and patchouli takes the place of moss.

Sweeter take: Femme Fatale
Femme Fatale by Dua Fragrances is the one pick judged on notes alone, so this section covers the lists and nothing about how it wears. Dua says it is inspired by the vintage formulation of Gris Montaigne, Gris Dior's former name. Its list holds strawberry, orange blossom and ylang-ylang alongside rose, jasmine, patchouli, oakmoss and white musk.
The main difference is on paper. Neither Dior's own description (citrus, rose, violet, oak moss) nor Fragrantica's current Gris Dior listing names strawberry, orange blossom or ylang-ylang. Some older Gris Montaigne note lists do include strawberry, so the gap may be smaller than it looks.
Choose it if you want the vintage name behind the idea and a sweeter list, and you plan to check it on skin.

What every clone gets wrong
No source describes any of the six as a match on every point. Each report names a difference: a deeper rose or a brighter, less rosy scent in Evoke for Her, a sharper opening in Grise, a sweeter and simpler patchouli in Fleur de Patchouli, a fresher mood in EdenFalls, an earthier one in Eau Capitale, a longer list in Femme Fatale.
That pattern is useful. Gris Dior sits on a balance between rose, patchouli and oakmoss, and each clone tips that balance one way. Decide which way you are willing to be tipped before you buy a full bottle.
Other rose and patchouli perfumes to try first
If you want the mood of Gris Dior without choosing a clone, we stock three perfumes that come at it from other angles. Rose Prick by Tom Ford centres on Turkish rose and patchouli leaf, so it shares rose and patchouli with Gris Dior. Portrait of a Lady by Frederic Malle also holds rose and patchouli, with incense and amber around them. Gris Charnel by BDK Parfums lists iris in the heart with tea, sandalwood and vetiver, so it takes a different route into the grey mood, without rose or patchouli on its list.
For more on the notes, read our guides to rose perfumes, what patchouli smells like and what iris smells like. If you share a bottle, see unisex perfumes worth sharing.
How to test a Gris Dior clone against the original
Test on skin, not on paper. Paper keeps the opening and hides the patchouli and oakmoss,.
Wear Gris Dior on one day and the clone on another, on the same arm, in similar weather. Note three things: how the rose sits in the opening, whether the patchouli stays clean or turns sweet, and what is left late in the day. Those are the points where the reports above disagree.
A decant is the sensible way to do this properly. Gris Dior comes in 3ml, 10ml and 30ml decants: about 60 sprays to discover it, about 200 to wear for weeks, and about 600 to keep. Compare the clone with the original, then choose.
If you came here from another Dior hunt, we have the same comparison for Dior Sauvage, Dior Homme Intense and Hypnotic Poison.
Clone or original? What to know first
- Can I wear Gris Dior in 3ml or 10ml before I pick a Gris Dior dupe?
- Yes. We fill decants of Gris Dior from the original bottle: 3ml is €25.38, 10ml is €48.90 and 30ml is €145.90. A 3ml gives about 60 sprays, a 10ml about 200 and a 30ml about 600, so a few days on skin tells you what a clone has to match.
- Why does Evoke for Her lead your ranking?
- It has the broadest backing. Parfumo's comparison page shows 86 of 110 voting members finding it similar to Gris Dior. The two share patchouli, and Evoke adds pink pepper, iris, labdanum and vanilla. Fragrantica opinion is split: some find a deeper rose, others a thicker or more citrus-fresh scent.
- How close does Grise get to Gris Dior?
- One Fragrantica commenter who wore both finds the dry-down very close. The opening differs: Grise starts sharper, with more rose and patchouli and less bergamot. Maison Alhambra has renamed it Gray Ash, so look for both names.
- Is a Gris Montaigne dupe a different hunt from a Gris Dior dupe?
- No. Gris Montaigne is the old name of Gris Dior, and Fragrantica says the composition is the same. Dua Fragrances says its Femme Fatale is inspired by the vintage Gris Montaigne and lists strawberry, orange blossom and ylang-ylang on top of the rose and patchouli.
- How do the clones compare per ml with a decant of Gris Dior?
- Fleur de Patchouli by Zara costs the least, and the table on this page shows every clone price. A 10ml decant of Gris Dior works out at €4.89/ml per ml, and you pay for 10ml, not for a full bottle you may not like.
- Which clones share the notes of Gris Dior?
- Evoke for Her shares patchouli. Zara's Fleur de Patchouli describes bergamot over patchouli. Diptyque's Eau Capitale has roses after bergamot, with patchouli in place of moss. Grise is described as opening with more rose and patchouli and less bergamot.
- Is Femme Fatale a close match for Gris Dior?
- We can only compare the lists. Dua's list adds strawberry, orange blossom and ylang-ylang to rose, jasmine, patchouli, oakmoss and white musk, and Dior's own description names none of those three. How it smells next to Gris Dior needs a test on skin.
- How long does Gris Dior last on skin?
- It depends on your skin and the weather. The practical way to find out is a 3ml decant worn on a normal day, then a note of what is left late in the evening.
- Does 10ML sell dupes?
- No. 10ML sells only original perfumes. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. The dupes in this guide are other houses’ perfumes, and we don’t sell them. You can wear the original first from €25.38.
