Alexandria II Dupes 2026: 6 Clones vs the Original
Six Alexandria II clones compared by what members and the houses themselves say, with the option of wearing the original in a decant first.
In this guide
We sell only the originals. Every perfume we sell is the authentic original, decanted from the perfume house’s own bottle. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. We never sell dupes, clones or inspired-by perfumes. This guide compares the dupes other houses make of Alexandria II, so you can choose, or wear the original first.

What does Alexandria II smell like?
Alexandria II by Xerjoff opens with lavender and cinnamon, plus palisander rosewood and apple. Lily of the valley, rose and cedar sit in the middle. The base holds agarwood (oud), sandalwood, amber, vanilla and musk. Xerjoff launched it in 2012. Going by those notes, it is a woody, powdery perfume with warm spice: lavender and cinnamon first, oud, amber and vanilla underneath. New to the note? Read what oud is first.
There is also a second version. Alexandria II Anniversary (2024) is a different composition: lavender, Bulgarian rose, cardamom and cumin on top; mint, clary sage, oud, amber, cypriol, civet, orris and wormwood in the heart; Australian sandalwood, vanilla and musk at the base. None of the clones below is judged against it, so this guide is about the 2012 original.

Best overall: WO/01 Somewoody
Zara's WO/01 Somewoody leads because it has the largest vote here. Parfumo's comparison page shows 359 of 395 voting members finding it similar to Alexandria II, with lavender, cinnamon, cedarwood, musk, amber, vanilla and oud listed for both.
The main difference is depth. A Parfumo member who owns a decant of Alexandria II finds Somewoody's character very close, though not as deep or intense and with a synthetic edge. Another member finds it softer and less spicy than Alexandria II, and weaker in performance.
It suits you if you want the lavender, cinnamon and oud outline in a lighter form. Both comments point the same way, so expect less weight than the original.

Closest on the dry-down: Forza
Forza by MAD Parfumeur takes this label on one member's word and one vote. In a Fragrantica forum thread asking for a cheaper Alexandria II, a member suggests Forza as the closest option. Parfumo's comparison page shows 166 of 188 voting members finding it similar.
The notes follow the same outline. MAD Parfumeur lists lavender, cinnamon and apple; rose, cedar and lily of the valley; agarwood, sandalwood, vanilla, amber and musk. The list names no palisander rosewood, and the house sells Forza as an extrait de parfum. Its page does not name Alexandria II.
It suits you if you want a note list that follows the original's outline. Wear it through to the late part of the day before you rely on that single forum comment, since a note list says what is in a perfume, not how it wears.

Softer take: Shouq
Shouq by Jazeel is the pick for everyday wear, on one member's word. In the same Fragrantica thread, a member recommends it as a scent that resembles Alexandria II closely and is easier to wear every day. Parfumo's comparison page shows 87 of 109 voting members finding it similar.
We have no note list for Shouq, so we cannot say which notes it keeps or drops; the difference that member names is ease of wear. It suits you if Alexandria II feels like too much for a normal day.

Lowest price: Prodigy
Prodigy by Paris Corner has the lowest price per ml of the clones with a price in the table on this page. Parfumo's comparison page shows 47 of 54 voting members finding it similar to Alexandria II, with cinnamon, amber, musk and vanilla listed for both.
The main difference shows in the house's own words. Paris Corner's EU page describes an opening of orange, cinnamon and green apple over white flowers, clary sage and amber, on vanilla, tonka bean, woody amber notes and musk. It names no lavender or oud, and it does not mention Alexandria II.
It suits you if the spice, amber and vanilla matter more to you than the oud. The vote is smaller than the Somewoody one.

Darker take: Kiage 108
Kiage 108 rests only on Kiage's own description, so read it as the house's claim. Kiage calls it its scent twin of Xerjoff's Alexandria II and describes a majestic, oriental scent of sensual depth, opulent and warm. It lists lavender, cinnamon, apple and rosewood; rose, cedarwood and lily of the valley; oud, sandalwood, amber, vanilla and musk. We found no community comparison.
The difference is the weight Kiage promises: opulent and warm. That is the only reason it sits as the darker take. It suits you if you want a rich, oriental reading of the same notes and accept that we found no comparison from anyone outside the house.

Premium alternative: Arena
Arena by Somens is a small niche house's perfume, not a saving. In the Fragrantica thread, an administrator says it smells very much like Alexandria II and can be bought in a small size. Parfumo's comparison page shows 42 of 65 voting members finding it similar, the weakest vote of the six.
We have no note list for Arena, so the difference is open. It suits you if you like the idea of a niche take on the same style and want to judge it yourself. Treat it as a different perfume to explore, not a way to spend less and not a better version.

What every Alexandria II clone gets wrong
A vote of "similar" is a vote about resemblance, not about whether you will like the clone on your skin.
Apart from Kiage's own wording, the sources here say similar or close, not that a clone matches the original. The votes only say "similar". The two member comments on Somewoody both note differences from Alexandria II: not as deep or intense, softer and less spicy. Prodigy's house description drops lavender and oud. Forza's note list leaves out palisander rosewood.
Another limit: every comparison here comes from members and houses, not from us. We have no test of our own on record, so we pass on what they say and name who said it. Where a source is a single member, we say so.
So for the clones with a note list, expect a similar outline of cinnamon, amber and vanilla, and expect the weight and the oud to be where some of them differ. For Kiage 108, Shouq and Arena, no source lists what changes.
How to test an Alexandria II clone against the original
Test on skin, not paper. Lavender and cinnamon are among the top notes; the oud, amber and vanilla sit in the base and show later. Give the original one day and the clone a different day, spray the same spot both times, and write down what is left in the evening. One wearing each is a first impression, so repeat it before you decide.
Start with a 3ml decant of the original: a decant is about 60 sprays, enough to discover it. Move to the 10ml decant, about 200 sprays, if you want to wear it for weeks. The 30ml decant, about 600 sprays, is the one to keep. If you would rather buy blind, read how to blind buy safely. For clone prices per ml, see the perfume dupes price list and the price-per-ml index.
If you would rather stay with an original
Several perfumes we stock share some of Alexandria II's notes.
Oud Wood by Tom Ford pairs agarwood and sandalwood with vanilla, tonka bean and amber.
Red Tobacco by Mancera brings cinnamon, oud, vanilla and amber together with tobacco.
Musc Ravageur by Frederic Malle shares lavender, cinnamon, vanilla and amber, with a musky base.
Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier shares lavender, cinnamon, vanilla and amber, in a more aromatic, fresh-spicy style.

Clone or original? What to know first
- Can I wear Alexandria II in 3ml or 10ml before choosing a clone?
- Yes. Alexandria II comes in 3ml, 10ml and 30ml. The 3ml is €22.50 and gives about 60 sprays to discover it. The 10ml decant is €60.12 for about 200 sprays, enough to wear it for weeks. Wearing the original first tells you which part of it you want a clone to keep.
- Which Alexandria II dupe leads our ranking, and why?
- WO/01 Somewoody by Zara leads, because Parfumo's comparison page shows 359 of 395 voting members finding it similar to Alexandria II, the largest vote of the six. The dissent stays in: one member finds it not as deep or intense, another finds it softer and less spicy.
- How close does Forza get to Alexandria II?
- It keeps the outline of the notes. MAD Parfumeur lists lavender, cinnamon and apple, then rose, cedar and lily of the valley, then agarwood, sandalwood, vanilla, amber and musk. Its list names no palisander rosewood, and the house sells it as an extrait de parfum. The claim of being closest rests on one Fragrantica forum member plus 166 of 188 voting members on Parfumo finding it similar.
- Does Alexandria II Anniversary change which clone I should choose?
- It can. Alexandria II Anniversary from 2024 is a different composition, built on lavender, Bulgarian rose, cardamom and cumin, with oud, cypriol, civet and wormwood in the heart. No clone here is judged against it, so try a 3ml of it, at €18.45, before you pick.
- How do the clones compare per ml with a decant of Alexandria II?
- Xerjoff sells Alexandria II parfum in 100ml and 50ml bottles on its own store. A 10ml decant at 10ML works out at €6.01/ml. Prodigy has the lowest price per ml among the clones with a price; the table on this page shows each clone's price and the date it was checked.
- Which Alexandria 2 dupes share its named notes?
- Parfumo lists lavender, cinnamon, cedarwood, musk, amber, vanilla and oud for both WO/01 Somewoody and Alexandria II, and cinnamon, amber, musk and vanilla for both Prodigy and Alexandria II. MAD Parfumeur and Kiage each publish a list that follows Alexandria II's outline. For Shouq and Arena we have no note list.
- How long does Alexandria II last?
- It depends on your skin and the weather. The surest way to find out is to wear a 3ml of it on a normal day, from the first spray to the evening, and compare it with the clone on another day.
- Is there an Alexandria II clone that rests only on the house's word?
- Yes: Kiage 108. Kiage calls it its scent twin of Alexandria II and describes a majestic, oriental scent, opulent and warm. We found no community comparison, so treat it as the house's claim until you have worn both.
- Does 10ML sell dupes?
- No. 10ML sells only original perfumes. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. The dupes in this guide are other houses’ perfumes, and we don’t sell them. You can wear the original first from €22.50.
