What does MYSLF Eau de Parfum smell like?

MYSLF Eau de Parfum by Yves Saint Laurent launched in 2023 and is listed for men, with work as its occasion. Its pyramid opens on Calabrian bergamot and bergamot, moves to Tunisian orange blossom in the heart and rests on Ambrofix and patchouli. The accords listed are citrus, white floral, patchouli, fresh spicy, woody and sweet. What about La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Électrique?

The clones in this guide are judged against two different Yves Saint Laurent perfumes, so it covers both. La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Électrique launched in 2021 and is listed for men. It opens on cardamom, ginger and bergamot, with lavender and geranium in the heart over cedar and vetiver. Its accords read aromatic, fresh spicy, warm spicy, lavender, woody, citrus and herbal. 10ML stocks no plain La Nuit de L'Homme Eau de Toilette, only Bleu Électrique and Le Parfum. That matters because one member below compares their clone with the older Eau de Toilette.

Closest on the dry-down: Mindset

Mindset by Maison Alhambra is judged against MYSLF Eau de Parfum. On Parfumo's comparison page, 23 of 23 voting members find it similar, with Calabrian bergamot, Ambrofix and patchouli in both pyramids. That is a small vote base, but nobody voted against.

A Fragrantica member who owns MYSLF Eau de Parfum calls Mindset a very close match and says the sharp bergamot opening fades within minutes. The page lists Calabrian bergamot, orange blossom, Ambrofix and patchouli.

Nothing we hold compares how Mindset dries down, so treat the label as a summary of the vote and the member's verdict, not a claim about the dry-down. Choose Mindset if you want the clone with the strongest agreement on the notes lists. Wear the original first to judge that opening yourself.

Darker take: Itqan Noir

Itqan Noir by Zimaya is also judged against MYSLF Eau de Parfum: on Parfumo's comparison page, 30 of 35 voting members find it similar.

The main difference comes from a Fragrantica member, who calls it a hybrid of MYSLF Eau de Parfum and MYSLF Le Parfum. That member describes a bright bergamot opening, an orange blossom heart and a slightly sweet patchouli and Ambrofix base. Another member says it needs a month to settle.

Going by the hybrid description, it suits you if you like the idea of the Eau de Parfum with a little of the Le Parfum in it. If you would rather judge a clone straight away, give this one time before you decide.

Fresher take: Dubai Nights Midnight

Dubai Nights Midnight by Armaf is judged against MYSLF Eau de Parfum. Parfumo's comparison page shows 32 of 36 voting members finding it similar.

Fragrantica lists bergamot and lavender, then orange blossom and geranium, over patchouli and woody notes. Lavender and geranium do not appear in the original's list, which is the clearest difference on paper. Fragrantica members who own MYSLF describe an airy, herbal fougere and say it lasts longer than the Eau de Parfum.

That makes it the pick if the herbal side of the notes list appeals to you more than the orange blossom. Four voting members on Parfumo did not find it similar, so try the original before you commit.

Best overall: Al Nashama Caprice

Al Nashama Caprice by Lattafa is judged against La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Électrique. Parfumo's comparison page shows 270 of 295 voting members finding it similar, with cardamom, ginger, bergamot, geranium, cedarwood and vetiver in both pyramids. It has the largest vote base of any alternative here, which is why it leads.

The main difference comes from a Parfumo member who has tried both. They find the opening very similar but the Lattafa denser and less fresh, with an amber-wood Arabic twist. Another member finds it close to the older La Nuit de L'Homme Eau de Toilette, with a greener opening.

It suits you if the cardamom and ginger opening is what you want and a denser, less fresh feel does not bother you. If freshness is your priority, the dissent above is worth weighing.

Sweeter take: Jack of Clubs

Jack of Clubs by Fragrance World is listed on Parfumo as Jack. Its comparison page shows 48 of 50 voting members finding it similar to La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Électrique, with cardamom, ginger, bergamot, geranium, lavender and vetiver in both pyramids.

The main difference is sweetness. Parfumo members describe a sweet, almost sticky ginger opening that gives way to cardamom and lavender. One who owns Bleu Électrique finds the ginger synthetic and the vetiver heavy, while another member calls it a pleasant all-rounder.

Choose it if you want the ginger pushed forward and can live with a sweeter start. The member who owns the original is the voice to remember: for them it misses.

Lowest price: Fareed

Fareed by Riiffs is judged against La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Électrique. On Parfumo's comparison page, 13 of 14 voting members find it similar, with cardamom, geranium, cedarwood, vetiver and lavender in both pyramids. That is a small vote base, so the confidence is lower than for Caprice.

The sources do not name a main difference. Parfumo lists Fareed among the perfumes that smell similar to Lattafa's Al Nashama Caprice, next to Bleu Électrique itself. Its dated price sits in the table on this page.

It suits you if cost is the deciding factor and you accept a smaller body of evidence. Wear the original first, then decide whether the saving matters.

Softer take: Iconic Nuit Cerulean

Iconic Nuit Cerulean by Grandeur is judged against La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Électrique. Parfumo's comparison page shows 49 of 55 voting members finding it similar, with cardamom, ginger, bergamot, geranium, lavender, cedar and vetiver in both pyramids.

The main difference is the volume. A Parfumo member says the YSL character is clear from the first spray and describes a fresh, spicy and very soft opening.

It suits you if you want the Bleu Électrique idea turned down a notch. That is one member's view, so try the original to see how much softer you actually want.

How to test a dupe

Test on skin, not on paper. Paper keeps the bergamot and ginger openings alive longer than skin does, and those openings are where the sources say the clones differ.

Give each perfume its own day, original first, and judge them late in the day, once they have settled. For Mindset that means ignoring the opening, which a member says fades within minutes. For Itqan Noir, give it time first.
