What does Libre smell like?
Libre is the lavender-and-orange-blossom eau de parfum Yves Saint Laurent launched in 2019. The idea is a contrast: lavender, usually a barbershop note, set against a big white floral. It opens with mandarin orange, black currant, petitgrain and lavender, crisp and a little herbal. The heart is orange blossom and jasmine, creamy and bright. Underneath sit Madagascar vanilla, musk, cedar and ambergris, which warm it into a smooth, faintly powdery dry-down. Its listed accords lead with white floral, citrus, lavender and vanilla.
Which Libre are you trying to match?
This matters more for Libre than for most perfumes, because the name now covers a whole family and the clones do not all aim at the same one. The biggest trap is Libre Intense, the warmer, heavier flanker. It is not sold at 10ML, but several clones below follow it rather than the original: Parfumo lists Libre Intense first among the perfumes similar to Golden Decade, Tharwah Gold and Léonie Intense. That is the Libre eau de parfum structure. Its Parfumo page lists Libre as the one perfume it resembles, and members there describe a strong resemblance to the original. A member of the Fragrantica forum also names it as a Libre dupe that lasts all day on them.
The main difference is polish. One Parfumo member calls it the quieter little sister of Libre, finer and more subtle, with the lavender more prominent. Golden Decade by Zara is built around orange blossom, lavender and vanilla. Its Parfumo page lists Libre Intense, Libre and Libre Le Parfum first among similar perfumes, in that order.
The main difference is that it leans towards the Intense. Parfumo members place it between Libre and Libre Intense, with a clean, fresh lavender and a warmer, more buttery vanilla than the original. One member finds only the opening different from Libre; another calls it a fresher, lighter Libre Intense. On its Fragrantica page, a member who owns Libre and several scents inspired by it names this her favourite of them. That is two voices rather than a crowd, so weigh them accordingly. It was listed as unavailable by its maker on the day we checked, so the table shows no price for it.

Léonie Intense by Maison Alhambra is the house's answer to Libre Intense rather than the original. Its listed notes mirror Libre's own pyramid, blackcurrant to ambergris, but its Parfumo page lists Libre Intense first among similar perfumes, with Golden Decade second.
The main difference is depth. One Parfumo member finds the vanilla stronger than in Léonie and the whole thing lighter than Libre Intense itself. So it sits on the warmer, deeper side of the original, not beside it.

What every clone gets wrong
Libre is a balancing act between a clean, almost masculine lavender and a creamy, feminine orange blossom, with vanilla holding the two together. The clones tip the balance. Léonie and Floral Lavender push the lavender. Golden Decade, Tharwah Gold and Léonie Intense push the vanilla and sweetness, which is why Parfumo keeps pairing them with Libre Intense. Almost no one gets the tension exactly, and that tension is the whole point of the original.
The second gap is texture. Parfumo members describe Léonie as harsher and more synthetic, and Floral Lavender as soapy. The original's ambergris and musk give a smooth, skin-like finish that a note list cannot promise.
A clone bottle, or Libre in a smaller size?
Three of the six clones carry an EU list price, shown in the table above, in 50ml to 100ml bottles. That is a lot of perfume to own before you know whether the lavender suits you, whichever bottle you choose.
At 10ML, Libre is decanted from the Yves Saint Laurent bottle. The smallest, a 3ml decant at €8.91, gives you around 60 sprays: enough to know within a week. A 10ml decant costs €25.11 (€2.51/ml) and holds around 200 sprays for weeks of daily wear. If Libre is already a favourite, the 30ml decant at €59.40 (€1.98/ml) runs to around 600 sprays and gives the lowest price per ml. How to test a dupe
A paper strip flatters the top notes and hides the base, and with Libre the base is where the clones drift apart. Spray one wrist once and let the day run: first sniff straight away, a second around midday, a third before bed.
Keep each contender to its own day. Two scents worn at once blur together, and you end up judging a blend nobody sells. At each check, ask where the lavender sits, how creamy the orange blossom is and how sweet the vanilla has become. If a clone tips into sugar where Libre stays clean, you have found its difference.
