What does Versace Eros smell like?
Eros by Versace launched in 2012. The top is cool and bright: mint leads, with green apple and lemon beside it. The heart turns warmer as tonka bean and Ambroxan come through, lifted by a little geranium. Underneath sit Madagascar vanilla, two cedars (Virginian and Atlas), vetiver and oakmoss. The result is sweet and aromatic, with a green, minty start at one end and a vanilla-tonka finish at the other.
That contrast is the hard part for any clone. Mint and apple are easy to reproduce. The dry, woody and mossy frame sits underneath, and the sources below report differences at both the start and the finish.
Which Eros do the clones aim at?

Read the sources together and the gaps sit at the two ends of the scent. At the start, the clones soften or shift the cool burst: Colossus opens less explosively, Imperial Blue more quietly, Blue Sapphire leans to lemon over mint, and Terra swaps the apple for rhubarb. At the end, the Versencia Oro owners who notice a difference place it in the dry-down, and Ambery Mint names amber rather than a woody, mossy base.
In general, a sweet scent needs a dry frame to stay lively. Tonka and vanilla give warmth and sugar; woods and moss give the structure that stops that warmth turning soft and flat. A paper strip shows a clone at its strongest moment, the opening, and hides the rest. Use skin instead. Give Eros a day to itself and the clone a separate day, so your nose meets each one fresh. Check both at matching stages: right after spraying, in the heart, and again later on once the scent has calmed down.
