What does Good Girl smell like?

Good Girl by Carolina Herrera launched in 2016 as a women's perfume. It starts bright and bitter at once: lemon and bergamot next to almond and coffee. The heart is a bouquet of white flowers, tuberose, jasmine sambac and orange blossom, softened by Bulgarian rose and orris. Then the base turns dark and sweet. Tonka bean, cacao, vanilla and praline sit over amber and cinnamon, held up by sandalwood, cashmere wood, cedar, patchouli and musk. The result is a tug of war between a floral heart and a dessert-like base, and that balance is what every clone below is trying to hit. B.A.D. Femme by Maison Alhambra leads this guide because three separate sources tie it to Good Girl. Members on its Fragrantica page who own both perfumes find it close to the original. Parfumo also runs a comparison page for the pair, where most of the members who cast a vote call them similar. And its Parfumo listing puts Good Girl Eau de Parfum on its "smells similar" list, next to Qimmah for Women, another pick in this guide.

Where it parts company is the finish. One Fragrantica member finds B.A.D. Femme a little more gourmand, and finds Good Girl creamier and better blended.

Qimmah for Women by Lattafa earns its place through the dry-down. Several members on its Fragrantica page find it similar to Good Girl, and one says its creamy dry-down is what sets it apart from other Good Girl alternatives. Most members voting on Parfumo's comparison page judge the two similar.

What changes is the balance at the start. Other Fragrantica members find Qimmah heavier on white florals, with little coffee. So it leans further towards the bouquet and away from the bitter, roasted edge.

The swap is fruit where the coffee was. Its Fragrantica note list trades coffee for peach, and members there find it fruitier, without the coffee-patchouli depth. A Parfumo member's write-up goes further: Good Girl reads warmer, more vanilla and more floral, while Fruity Almond comes across as simply fruity, with little almond despite the name.

The Pride of Armaf for Women rests on one source, so weigh it as one opinion. A member on its Fragrantica page who wears both finds the Good Girl character in it, but a little deeper and louder.

It differs in the dry-down. That member finds it carries spicier notes to the end, where Good Girl turns softer.

It suits someone who likes the warm, spicy side of Good Girl and wishes it held on through the dry-down instead of softening. Basis: a named source, a single Fragrantica write-up.

What every clone gets wrong

The sources point to one recurring gap: the coffee. Miss Dream lists none, some members find little of it in Qimmah, and Fruity Almond swaps it for peach. Rawaa goes the other way and turns the coffee and cacao up, at the cost of the flowers. The original's trick is holding both halves at once, a bitter, roasted opening and a full white-floral heart, over a sweet base that never takes over.

The second gap is blending. The one comparison that speaks directly to finish, on B.A.D. Femme, finds Good Girl creamier and better blended. Several clones also draw words like "sharper", "louder" or "more gourmand" from the people who own both. None of that shows on a paper strip in the first minutes, which is why the comparison belongs on skin. On price per ml, compare each clone's euro figure in the table with the original. Three clones show "No EU list price found" there: no euro list price turned up for them on the check date.
