Sauvage Extrait Dupes: 1 Listed Clone, 5 Similar Originals

Almost no clone house has released a Sauvage Extrait dupe yet. Here is the one listed clone, five similar originals and the decant route, with price per ml.

In this guide

We sell only the originals. Every perfume we sell is the authentic original, decanted from the perfume house’s own bottle. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. We never sell dupes, clones or inspired-by perfumes. The dupes in this guide are made and sold by other houses; we compare them so you can choose, or wear the original first.

How we source and decant every perfume

There is almost no Sauvage Extrait dupe yet. Dior launched the Extrait in 2026, and in November 2026 the only clone a source ties to it is Final Boss by Bujairami, which Parfumo lists as similar. The realistic routes are wearing Sauvage Extrait itself as a 3ml decant from €12.78, or trying five originals from other houses with a similar lavender, oud and woody style, starting with Opus XIV Royal Tobacco by Amouage and Oud Zarian by Creed, the two of the five that Parfumo also lists as similar.

What a Sauvage Extrait dupe has to match

Dior's Sauvage Extrait is an Extrait de Parfum for men by Francis Kurkdjian, launched in 2026. It opens with bergamot and lavender, then puts oud in the heart. The base holds vetiver, cedarwood and patchouli. Its listed accords are woody, aromatic, lavender, amber, patchouli and earthy, so anything sold as a dupe, or picked as a similar original, is judged on one target first: a fresh aromatic opening that dries down into dark wood, with oud at the centre. For a plain explanation of what the strength means, see what is extrait de parfum.

Why dupes of the original Sauvage and the Elixir are a different target

Searching for a Sauvage dupe usually lands on clones built for another bottle in the range. Those are covered in Dior Sauvage dupes and, for the Elixir, in Sauvage Elixir dupes. Both are worth a read if that is the bottle you wear. This page deals only with the Extrait, whose note list puts oud at the centre, so a clone aimed at a different Sauvage is matched against a different set of notes. If you are still deciding which Sauvage you mean, Sauvage vs Sauvage Elixir compares the versions by notes and season votes.

Is there a Sauvage Extrait clone?

One, by the sources we could read. Final Boss by Bujairami appears in the "smells similar" block on Parfumo's Sauvage Extrait page, and the Parfumo comparison of the two and Final Boss's own Parfumo page point the same way. That is a listing by Parfumo's community, not a test of ours, and we give no similarity figure.

No other clone house had a product tied to the Extrait by a source when we checked in November 2026. The Extrait is only a few months old, so more may follow. Until then, a 3ml decant is the quickest way to learn what the Extrait smells like on you, and the five originals below are where to look if you want the same corner of the shelf.

Five similar originals to try next

These are other houses' originals, sold by 10ML as decants. Each is on the list for a stated reason, and for each the notes it shares with the Extrait are listed.

Opus XIV Royal Tobacco by Amouage

Opus XIV Royal Tobacco is on Parfumo's "smells similar" list for the Extrait. It shares bergamot, lavender, oud (listed as agarwood) and vetiver with it. The difference is a sweet, balsamic and tobacco character, with licorice in the heart and bourbon vanilla, benzoin and birch tar in the base, so it is warmer and more resinous than the Extrait.

Most voters pick long lasting for its longevity. On sillage, most voters choose strong. Winter is the season they pick most, at night and in the evening. It suits you if the lavender and oud are what you want from the Extrait and you like a sweeter, tobacco-led dry-down.

Oud Zarian by Creed

Oud Zarian is also on Parfumo's "smells similar" list for the Extrait. A 2025 launch, it shares bergamot, patchouli and oud with it. Spices, frankincense and ginger sit on top, with May rose in the heart and licorice, myrrh, tonka bean and sandalwood in the base, so it reads as spicier and sweeter than the Extrait.

Community votes on its longevity lean long lasting. Most voters rate its sillage strong. It suits cold evenings and anyone who wants the oud with a resinous, amber side.

Interlude Man by Amouage

Interlude Man is named by wearers on Fragrantica as a comparison for the Extrait, which makes it a wearer's pairing rather than a listed one. A 2012 launch, it shares bergamot, patchouli and oud (listed as agarwood). Oregano and pepper open it, and the heart and base add incense, opoponax, amber, labdanum, leather and sandalwood, so it is smokier and denser.

Voters mostly rate its longevity eternal. Most voters rate its sillage enormous. Choose it if the Extrait's oud and patchouli are the draw and you want more smoke and presence.

Royal Oud by Creed

Royal Oud is named by a wearer on Fragrantica too. Launched in 2011, it shares bergamot, cedar and oud (listed as agarwood) with the Extrait. It adds pink pepper and lemon on top, then angelica and galbanum in the heart, with sandalwood and musk below. It is greener, more powdery and lighter than the Extrait.

Community votes on its longevity lean long lasting. Most voters rate its sillage moderate. Autumn and winter get the most season votes, with office, day and evening as the hours. It suits you if you want the oud and cedar at a lower volume.

Y Eau de Parfum Intense by Yves Saint Laurent

Y Eau de Parfum Intense is on this list for its notes alone: no source we read ties it to the Extrait. It shares bergamot, lavender, vetiver, patchouli and cedar with it, the longest overlap of the five. Ginger and juniper berries open it, and geranium and sage sit in the heart.

Most voters call its longevity long lasting. In the sillage votes, most voters choose moderate. Autumn and spring get the season votes, with evening and day as the hours. It suits you if the Extrait's lavender and wood are the draw.

Price per ml: the Extrait and five similar originals

All six come as a 3ml discovery decant, around 60 sprays, and as a 10ml decant, around 200 sprays. Prices below are the live 10ML prices.

The 10ml decant costs less per ml than the 3ml in every row, so the 3ml decant is for finding out and the 10ml decant is for wearing. If a clone does appear, how to compare a dupe with the original covers the home method.

How to choose

Start with what you want from the Extrait. If it is the oud, Opus XIV Royal Tobacco and Oud Zarian are the two of these five on Parfumo's similar list, one sweeter and tobacco-led, the other spicier. For oud with more smoke, Interlude Man is the dense option; for oud at a lower volume, Royal Oud is the quiet one. If the lavender and wood matter more than the oud, Y Eau de Parfum Intense shares the most listed notes. For a primer on the note itself, see what is oud.

If you want the Extrait itself, wear it. A 3ml decant settles the question your nose will ask first: whether you like the oud at all. Our Sauvage Extrait sample guide sets out how it differs from the other Sauvage versions and how to test it.

A two-wrist test

One wrist for each perfume tells you more than paper strips.

  1. Spray the Extrait once on one wrist and one similar original on the other. Skin changes a perfume, so test on skin, not on paper.
  2. Do not sniff straight away. Come back after the opening has settled and again once the dry-down arrives.
  3. Note which wrist you reach for. Swap the two perfumes the next day, so the wrist is not the reason.
  4. Repeat with a second original on another day, never more than two at once.

A 3ml gives enough sprays for several rounds of this, and the winner can then move up to a 10ml decant.
