How we source and decant every perfume

Quick answer

The best Tiziana Terenzi Kirkè dupe overall is Karat by Maison Alhambra, which 16 of 19 voting Parfumo members find similar. Tender Amber by Zara costs the least per ml of the four picks priced in euros. Want the real thing? Kirke is €23.85 for a 10ml decant at 10ML.

You can try the original, Kirke, at 10ML as a 10 ml decant from €23.85, before you choose a dupe.

What does Kirke smell like?

Bottle of Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi
The originalKirkeTiziana Terenzi

Kirke by Tiziana Terenzi came out in 2015 as an extrait de parfum. It opens on a cluster of fruit: passionfruit, peach, pear, raspberry and cassis, with sand listed among the top notes too. Lily of the valley sits in the heart. The base is musk, vanilla, patchouli, heliotrope and sandalwood. More from the house is on our Tiziana Terenzi page.

That list explains why so many perfumes get compared with Kirke, and why none matches it fully: fruit, musk and vanilla are common, while the whole blend, sand included, is not. This guide compares six. Each pick says what it shares with Kirke, what it changes and what the comparison rests on.

Best overall: Karat

Maison Alhambra

Bottle price
No EU price
Basis of comparison
Named source

Maison Alhambra's Karat lists every note in Kirke's pyramid except sand. Parfumo's comparison page shows 16 of 19 voting members finding the two similar. That is a small vote base, so read it as a sign, not a verdict. The two pyramids share passionfruit, peach, pear, blackcurrant, raspberry, lily of the valley, musk, heliotrope, vanilla, patchouli and sandalwood. The main difference: Kirke adds sand, while Karat adds earthy and herbal notes.

Three Fragrantica commenters are warm on it. One finds it really smells like Kirke, with a lot of passionfruit. Another finds it more like Kirke than Erba Pura, a lovely spring and summer scent. A third says Karat follows Kirke's approach and stays fresh as it dries down.

There is dissent. One commenter found it smelled like Erba Pura at first and leaned towards Kirke only months later. Others found it faded fast from a new bottle, and one says it lasted far better after resting. Karat suits you if you want a note list that follows Kirke's almost note for note, and you can give a new bottle time to settle. We found no EU list price for it.

Lowest price: Tender Amber

Zara

Bottle price
€22.95 · 100 ml
Basis of comparison
Named source

Zara's Tender Amber costs the least per ml of the four picks priced in euros, and the table above shows the figure. Zara does not present it as inspired by Kirke. The link comes from the community: Parfumo's comparison page shows 56 of 65 voting members finding the two similar.

The published notes overlap only in blackcurrant, vanilla and sandalwood. Beyond those, Tender Amber lists exotic fruits, rose, tuberose, amber and cedarwood. That is the main difference: a rose and tuberose heart instead of lily of the valley, and amber and cedarwood in place of Kirke's heliotrope, musk and patchouli.

On Fragrantica, one commenter finds it a cross between Erba Pura and Kirke, leaning a little more towards Kirke, with juicy fruits that are not as overwhelming as Kirke's and a clean, musky, salty character. Another finds it smells like Kirke in the opening before amber takes over. Several commenters compare it with Erba Pura instead, and one finds it linear, harsh and synthetic. It suits you if price matters most and you are happy for amber to take over later in the wear. We call it an alternative rather than a clone: Zara does not market it as one, and the two note lists share little.

Al Haramain Amber Oud Gold Edition

Darker take: Amber Oud Gold Edition

Al Haramain

Bottle price
No EU price
Basis of comparison
Named source

Al Haramain's Amber Oud Gold Edition has the largest vote base here. Parfumo's comparison page shows 129 of 164 voting members finding it similar to Kirke, and Kirke's own Parfumo page lists it among the perfumes it smells similar to.

"Darker" describes the note list, not a smell verdict. The list leans on amber, gourmand and woody notes: bergamot and green notes on top; melon, pineapple, amber and gourmand notes in the heart; musk, vanilla and woody notes in the base. It has none of Kirke's lily of the valley, heliotrope, patchouli or sand, and the two lists share only musk and vanilla. Despite the name, Fragrantica's pyramid lists no oud.

On Fragrantica, most of the comparisons we read are with Erba Pura rather than Kirke. One commenter calls it a long-lasting clone of Erba Pura or Kirke, and another finds a fruity, musky, sweet scent that performs like both. One commenter finds the vanilla and amber turn it syrupy with a hint of woods, and calls it an Erba Pura dupe, while others find it fresh and clean. Choose it if you want fruit and musk wrapped in amber and gourmand notes, backed by the largest vote count of the six. We found no EU list price.

Sweeter take: Sunshine Dream

MonKoku

Bottle price
€29.95 · 50 ml
Basis of comparison
Named source

MonKoku's Sunshine Dream rests on Parfumo alone, and the evidence is thin: two short member statements on a new perfume. Parfumo lists Kirke as the perfume it smells similar to. One member calls it a slightly sweeter and fruitier Kirke for summer evenings. Another finds a fruit cocktail that reminds them of Kirke.

Its published notes follow Kirke's in full except for sand: blackcurrant, passionfruit, peach, pear and raspberry; lily of the valley; heliotrope, musk, patchouli, sandalwood and vanilla. The main difference is that missing sand, plus one member's sweeter, fruitier reading. It suits you if you would take Kirke a touch sweeter on a summer evening. Two short comments cannot settle the match, so test it before you buy a full bottle.

Premium alternative: Bodrum

FIORE

Bottle price
€45.00 · 50 ml
Basis of comparison
Named source

FIORE's Bodrum is an extrait de parfum and has the highest price per ml of the four priced picks. "Premium" here means price and concentration, not that it is better. FIORE presents Bodrum as its own composition inspired by Kirke, built on juicy passionfruit, creamy pear and musk. That is the house's own claim, and we found no community comparison.

Those three notes are the only ones FIORE names, and all three are in Kirke too, so there is no full pyramid to set against Kirke's. You are weighing one maker's description. It suits you if you want an extrait de parfum from a house that names Kirke as its starting point, and you are happy to test on that description alone. Treat the link to Kirke as a pointer to test, not a proven match.

MAD Parfumeur

Bottle price
€59.99 · 100 ml

MAD Parfumeur lists apple, raspberry, peach and pear; lily of the valley and heliotrope; amber, musk and sandalwood for Bruno Gold, an extrait de parfum, and tags the page "Kirke". On paper it shares raspberry, peach, pear, lily of the valley, heliotrope, musk and sandalwood with Kirke. The page makes no comparison with Kirke, and nobody we cite has compared the two. This pick rests on the house's tag plus our reading of the two note lists.

"Fresher" is a documented note difference only. Bruno Gold opens on apple, and its list has no passionfruit, cassis, vanilla or patchouli. We make no claim about how the two compare on skin. It suits you if you want to try a Kirke-adjacent note list that starts on apple.

What every Kirke clone gets wrong

Every pick above shares fruit with Kirke, yet none lists its whole pyramid. Sand is missing from every clone that publishes its notes. Tender Amber and Amber Oud Gold Edition leave out lily of the valley and heliotrope and bring rose, tuberose or amber instead, while Karat adds earthy and herbal notes of its own. A clone can also match the opening and part ways later: one Fragrantica commenter found Tender Amber close to Kirke at first, before amber took over.

Price is the other trade-off. Every clone we could price costs less per ml than Kirke, which is €2.39/ml per ml in a 10ml decant. A full bottle still means buying 50ml or 100ml of a scent you may not love, while a 3ml decant of Kirke costs less than any full clone bottle in the table. For the wider picture, see our guide to perfume dupes and how a decant compares with a dupe.

How to test a Kirke dupe against the original

Test on skin, not on paper, because the fruit opening and the musky base shift once it warms. Wear Kirke on one day and the clone on another, and compare the opening first, then the dry-down late in the day.

Start with a 3ml decant of Kirke: about 60 sprays, enough to discover it. A 10ml decant, about 200 sprays, lets you wear it for weeks. If the style suits you, judge a clone on the points where the lists part: sand, lily of the valley and heliotrope.

For a neighbour to Kirke rather than a clone, three originals we stock are worth a 3ml decant: Erba Pura by Xerjoff, Jardin Exclusif by Mancera and Cassiopea, Tiziana Terenzi's own passionfruit and lily of the valley scent. Our Erba Pura dupes guide does for the first of them what this page does for Kirke. If you are choosing for yourself, best perfumes for women and white musk perfumes are good next reads, and what a decant is and our safe blind-buy guide explain how to try before you commit.

Clone or original? What to know first

Can I wear Kirke in 3ml or 10ml before choosing a clone?
Yes. Kirke comes as a 3ml decant for €8.10, about 60 sprays to discover it, and as a 10ml decant for €23.85, about 200 sprays to wear for weeks. Trying it on skin first shows which part you want a clone to keep.
Which Kirke dupe leads our ranking, and why?
Karat by Maison Alhambra leads. Parfumo shows 16 of 19 voting members finding it similar to Kirke, and its note list matches Kirke's except for sand, adding earthy and herbal notes. The vote base is small, and one Fragrantica commenter first smelled Erba Pura in it.
How close does Tender Amber get to Kirke?
Parfumo shows 56 of 65 voting members finding it similar. Its published notes overlap with Kirke only in blackcurrant, vanilla and sandalwood, and Zara does not present it as inspired by Kirke. Several commenters compare it with Erba Pura instead.
Which version of Kirke are the clones compared with?
The 2015 extrait de parfum, the Kirke we stock. Every pick and every note comparison on this page refers to that version.
How do Kirke clones compare per ml with a decant?
A 10ml decant of Kirke costs €2.39/ml per ml. The comparison table shows each clone price, dated. Tender Amber costs the least per ml of the four picks priced in euros, but a decant lets you try Kirke without buying a 50ml or 100ml bottle.
Which Kirke dupes share the original's named notes?
Karat and Sunshine Dream list notes that follow Kirke's, apart from sand. Bruno Gold shares peach, pear, raspberry, lily of the valley, heliotrope, musk and sandalwood, and FIORE names passionfruit, pear and musk for Bodrum. Amber Oud Gold Edition shares only musk and vanilla, and Tender Amber only blackcurrant, vanilla and sandalwood.
Are there perfumes like Kirke that are not clones?
Yes. We stock three originals that share Kirke's fruit and musk: Xerjoff Erba Pura, Mancera Jardin Exclusif and Tiziana Terenzi's own Cassiopea. A 3ml decant of each is an easy way to compare.
How long does Kirke last on skin?
It depends on your skin and the weather. The simplest check is a 3ml decant worn on your own skin across a normal day.
Does 10ML sell dupes?
No. 10ML sells only original perfumes. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. The dupes in this guide are other houses’ perfumes, and we don’t sell them. You can wear the original first from €8.10.
