In this guide

We sell only the originals. Every perfume we sell is the authentic original, decanted from the perfume house’s own bottle. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. We never sell dupes, clones or inspired-by perfumes. This guide compares the dupes other houses make of Vanilla Powder, so you can choose, or wear the original first.

What does Vanilla Powder smell like?

Bottle of Vanilla Powder by Matière Première
The originalVanilla PowderMatière Première

Vanilla Powder by Matiere Premiere is an unisex eau de parfum from 2023. Its notes are short and easy to read. The top pairs coconut with vanilla, the heart is palo santo, and the base is white musk. That is the whole list, which is why a clone has little room to hide: every note it adds, or leaves out, shows up when you set the two lists next to each other. This is the one the clones below are measured against.

Vanilla Powder or the Extrait?

Matiere Premiere also makes Vanilla Powder Extrait, launched in 2025. It lists coconut and heliotrope on top, Madagascar vanilla in the heart, and lactones and tonka bean underneath. It is a separate perfume with its own note list. The votes below were cast against the 2023 eau de parfum, so read every clone as a comparison with that version. If you wonder which one suits you, the Extrait is also sold as a decant at 10ML, and you can try both.

Best overall: Immortal Vanilla

Immortal VanillaZaraBest overall

Immortal Vanilla by Zara has the largest vote of any clone in this guide. On Parfumo's comparison page, 81 of 90 voting members call it similar to Vanilla Powder. Both perfumes list coconut. The main difference is the length of the list: Immortal Vanilla adds salty notes, caramel, magnolia, jasmine, incense, amber and cashmere wood around that coconut. It suits you if you like where Vanilla Powder starts but want more to unfold around it. If you prefer the short, quiet list of the original, wear that instead. The basis is the vote itself, which you can read in the Immortal Vanilla vs Vanilla Powder comparison on Parfumo.

Closest on the dry-down: Queen of Arabia

Queen of ArabiaLattafa PrideClosest on the dry-down

Queen of Arabia by Lattafa Pride comes second. On Parfumo, 40 of 46 voting members call it similar to Vanilla Powder. Both list coconut, and Queen of Arabia adds salt, heliotrope, sandalwood, amber and vanilla. A Fragrantica member who owns both Queen of Arabia and Fursan White writes that Queen of Arabia goes more straight into the coconut-vanilla powder. That is one member's view, not a consensus. Choose it if you want to go straight to the coconut-vanilla powder, going by that one member. The basis is the vote in the Queen of Arabia vs Vanilla Powder comparison and the Fragrantica forum thread.

Fresher take: Fursan White

Fursan WhiteKhadlajFresher take

Fursan White by Khadlaj is the fresher take, going by one member's account of its opening. On Parfumo, 64 of 82 voting members call it similar to Vanilla Powder. Both list coconut; Fursan White adds bergamot and jasmine, then musk and almond, then nutmeg, vanilla and cedarwood. The same Fragrantica member who owns Queen of Arabia says Fursan White has a fresher, brighter opening, is a bit more layered and a pinch sweeter. After the opening she finds the two much alike. So the difference is mostly the first minutes, going by one member. The basis is the Fursan White vs Vanilla Powder comparison and the same forum thread.

Souvenir Blooming Bliss by Afnan lists white musk and coconut, as Vanilla Powder does, and it also lists palo santo, the heart note of the original. On Parfumo, 41 of 49 voting members call it similar. The main difference, going by the lists, is what surrounds those shared notes: Blooming Bliss also lists vanilla, caramel and sandalwood. Caramel is the sweet note on its list. It suits you if palo santo is the part of Vanilla Powder you want to keep and you do not mind more sugar around it. The basis is the vote in the Blooming Bliss vs Vanilla Powder comparison.

Softer take: Bora Bora

Bora BoraFIORESofter take

Bora Bora by FIORE rests on a different kind of evidence: the house's own statement, with no member votes. FIORE presents it as its Duftzwilling of Vanilla Powder. It describes powdery vanilla, soft iris and light musk, and lists vanilla pod, iris powder, then musk and sandalwood. Set against the original's list, the difference is iris, which Vanilla Powder does not list, and the absence of coconut. It suits you if the powdery side of vanilla is what you want and coconut is not. Read the claim at the source: Bora Bora on FIORE's own page.

Clone or the original in 3ml?

The clone bottles are far larger than a decant, so compare by price per ml, not by price on the label. The table on this page shows each clone bottle with its date. A 3ml decant of Vanilla Powder costs €14.67, which is €4.89/ml per ml, and the 10ml decant works out at €4.02/ml per ml. For a deeper look at what a decant is, read what is a perfume decant and decant vs full bottle. For the wider picture, the price per ml index lays out the prices.

Where the clones depart from the original

Vanilla Powder lists four notes: coconut, vanilla, palo santo and white musk. Going by the lists, none of the five clones voted on Parfumo stops there. Each adds notes the original does not list: caramel, sandalwood, amber, jasmine and more. Only Blooming Bliss and Infrad Luxe list palo santo. Only Immortal Vanilla, Queen of Arabia and Fursan White list coconut without white musk. Bora Bora lists neither coconut nor palo santo. So a clone shares part of the original's list, while the exact balance is something you will only find out on skin.

How to test a dupe

Judge a clone on your skin rather than a paper strip. Spray Vanilla Powder one day and the clone the next, on the same spot of the same wrist, then compare them late in the day once each has settled. Note how each one settles on your skin. A 3ml decant is 60 sprays, enough to repeat that test a few times before you pick a bottle. If you wear it often, the 10ml gives 200 sprays and the 30ml gives 600. For other published picks from the same style family, see white musk perfumes.

Clone or original? What to know first

Can I wear Vanilla Powder in 3ml or 10ml before I choose a clone?
Yes. 10ML sells Vanilla Powder in 3ml, 10ml and 30ml decants. A 3ml decant costs €14.67 and gives 60 sprays, enough for a few days of wearing. A 10ml decant costs €40.23 and gives 200 sprays.
Which Vanilla Powder dupe leads your ranking, and why?
Immortal Vanilla by Zara. On Parfumo, 81 of 90 voting members call it similar to Vanilla Powder, the largest vote of any clone we list. Both list coconut, and Immortal Vanilla adds salty notes, caramel, magnolia, jasmine, incense, amber and cashmere wood.
How close does Queen of Arabia get to Vanilla Powder?
On Parfumo, 40 of 46 voting members call it similar. Both list coconut, and Queen of Arabia adds salt, heliotrope, sandalwood, amber and vanilla. A Fragrantica member who owns it says it goes more straight into the coconut-vanilla powder.
Does the Extrait change which clone I should pick?
The clones were voted against the 2023 eau de parfum, so the Extrait is a separate question. Vanilla Powder Extrait lists coconut, heliotrope, Madagascar vanilla, lactones and tonka bean. You can try both as decants.
How do the Vanilla Powder clones compare per ml with a decant?
The clone bottles are larger, so compare by price per ml. The table on this page lists each clone with its date. A 3ml decant of Vanilla Powder works out at €4.89/ml per ml and a 10ml decant at €4.02/ml per ml.
Which clones share Vanilla Powder's palo santo?
Souvenir Blooming Bliss by Afnan and Infrad Luxe by Zimaya list palo santo, the heart note of the original, and both also list coconut and white musk. Infrad Luxe has only 16 votes so far, so treat that vote as a lead.
What should I expect from Vanilla Powder on my own skin?
That depends on your skin and on the weather, so we do not give a number. Wear a 3ml decant for a few days and judge it late in the day, once it has settled.
Does 10ML sell dupes?
No. 10ML sells only original perfumes. We buy our bottles from authorized EU distributors and directly from the brands, and 10ML decants every perfume itself. The dupes in this guide are other houses’ perfumes, and we don’t sell them. You can wear the original first from €14.67.
