What does Arabians Tonka smell like?
Arabians Tonka by Montale launched in 2019 as a unisex perfume. Saffron and bergamot open it, a spiced and bright start. The heart sets oud against Bulgarian rose. The base is where the name earns its place: tonka bean and sugar cane over amber, white musk and oakmoss. Its listed accords put sweet, vanilla and amber first, then warm spice, oud and rose, with a metallic, powdery edge running through. Montale's own page for it gives the house's description.

The main difference is intensity. A Fragrantica member who knows the original well finds it very close, but a little smoother and more accessible. What every clone gets wrong
Two gaps keep coming up in the member accounts above. The first is power. For Noir d'Arabie, Cosmic Tonka and Timeless Tonka, a member each describes a scent that performs below the original, and some Momento wearers report short wear on their skin.
The second is the rose. One member finds it lighter in Noir d'Arabie, and several find it fading earlier in Momento, and in both cases the result reads sweeter. Once the rose steps back, the sugar has nothing to lean against.
The note lists show a third gap. Among the lists quoted here, only Noir d'Arabie names sugar cane, and Karus Secret Musk and Timeless Tonka name no oud. The original works as a balance between sweetness on one side and oud with a metallic, powdery edge on the other. Take away one side and the whole scent tips.
