Tom Ford Dupes 2026: The Leading Clones for 10 Perfumes

Ten Tom Ford perfumes, the clones that lead each of our single-perfume guides and what backs them, plus why a 3ml decant of the original is the fairest first test.

In this guide

The leading Tom Ford dupes, perfume by perfume, are Lazuli for Neroli Portofino, Golden Daze for Soleil Blanc, Peachy Vibes for Bitter Peach, Ambery Cherry for Lost Cherry, Sensual Vanilla for Vanilla Sex, Amber Oud Tobacco Edition for Tobacco Vanille, The Extreme for Noir Extreme, Black Origami for Black Orchid, Dark Aoud for Oud Wood and Rare Carbon for Ombre Leather. 10ML has a full guide for each of the ten. None of these bottles is the original, which you can wear first as a 3ml decant.

Three bottles on a pale blue background, Soleil Blanc, Lost Cherry and Oud Wood by Tom Ford

This page sorts the ten by character: citrus and sun first, then fruit and sweetness, then the spicier, woodier and leathery side of the house. Under each perfume you will find what the original is made of, the price of its 3ml, and the guide's top picks with the source behind each one. The full ranking, the dated clone prices and every source link live in the guide itself.

Citrus and sun

One of these leans on lemon, bergamot and neroli, the other on coconut and white flowers.

Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford

Neroli Portofino dates from 2011. It opens on bergamot, lemon and mandarin orange, then moves to a heart of neroli, orange blossom and jasmine. A 3ml of the original is €17.46.

Lazuli by Al Wataniah leads that ranking. On Parfumo's page comparing the pair, just one member saw no likeness, and a Fragrantica member who compared the two could not tell them apart and returned the Tom Ford bottle. Another member found Lazuli short-lived on their skin. Porto Neroli by Maison Alhambra holds the closest-on-the-dry-down slot: one Fragrantica member says its dry-down matches the original, and a second finds it a cleaner citrus scent that is not close. The lowest bottle price belongs to the 4711 Echt Kölnisch Wasser, an eau de cologne rather than a clone, in whose tradition Fragrantica members place Neroli Portofino. All six picks are in Tom Ford Neroli Portofino: the original vs 6 alternatives.

Soleil Blanc by Tom Ford

Soleil Blanc, from 2016, sets pistachio, cardamom and pink pepper over tuberose, ylang-ylang and jasmine, with coconut, amber and tonka bean underneath. Its 3ml costs €25.29.

Golden Daze by House of Thêom heads that guide. Almost every Parfumo member who compared it with Soleil Blanc calls the two similar, no other alternative on that page drew as many responses, and of the four clones with a euro price it has the lowest bottle price. One Fragrantica write-up sums it up as sunscreen-like but elegant. Powdery Coconut by Dossier is the closest-on-the-dry-down pick. Dossier names Soleil Blanc as its inspiration, a Fragrantica member who wore the original rates it almost an exact dupe, and a buyer quoted by Dossier finds it a little softer. Tom Ford Soleil Blanc: the original vs 6 alternatives also explains the lighter Eau de Soleil Blanc and the Parfum.

Fruit and sweetness

Four perfumes built on peach, cherry, almond and tobacco, each with vanilla among its notes.

Bitter Peach by Tom Ford

Bitter Peach arrived in 2020: peach, blood orange and cardamom at the top, rum, cognac and jasmine in the heart, then vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood and tonka bean. A 3ml is €24.03.

Peachy Vibes by MonKoku leads, as the one pick that every Parfumo member on its comparison page calls similar. Its listing keeps the peach, cognac, cardamom and patchouli and leaves out the rum, davana and heliotrope. Peach Honey by Flavia takes the closest-on-the-dry-down slot on the word of one Fragrantica member who owns both; a second finds it a little sweeter, and a third is not sure the match is perfect. Sutoor by Lattafa has the lowest bottle price of the three that carry a euro price. The six picks are compared in Tom Ford Bitter Peach: the original vs 6 alternatives.

Lost Cherry by Tom Ford

Lost Cherry (2018) opens on black cherry, cherry liqueur and bitter almond, passes through sour cherry, plum and Turkish rose, and settles on vanilla, tonka bean, cinnamon and Peru balsam with cedar and vetiver. The 3ml is €21.96.

Ambery Cherry by Dossier tops that ranking. Every note Fragrantica lists for it also appears in the Lost Cherry pyramid, and Lost Cherry tops that site's list of what its visitors also like; one Parfumo member adds that its strong cherry fades before the day is out. The closest-on-the-dry-down pick is Popped Cherry from The Dua Brand: an owner of Lost Cherry who wore one on each wrist struggled to tell them apart, and another member finds it a touch sweeter. The lowest bottle price in that guide is Lovely Chérie, from Maison Alhambra. The seven picks are in Tom Ford Lost Cherry: the original vs 7 alternatives.

Vanilla Sex by Tom Ford

Vanilla Sex is the newest perfume on this page, from 2023: bitter almond, then vanilla and floral notes, then more vanilla with tonka bean and sandalwood. A 3ml costs €22.23.

Sensual Vanilla by Maison Alhambra leads, and it is also the lowest-priced of the clones with a euro price. Its Fragrantica listing runs from bitter almond through vanilla to tonka bean and sandalwood. Members who own Vanilla Sex call it very close, with a slightly different opening, while one member finds it warmer, spicier and no match. Gourmand Vanilla by Dossier is the closest-on-the-dry-down pick: when someone on the Fragrantica forum asked for a Vanilla Sex alternative, the first reply named it as very similar, and another member calls it a little sweeter. All six are in Tom Ford Vanilla Sex: the original vs 6 alternatives.

Tobacco Vanille by Tom Ford

Tobacco Vanille goes back to 2007. It starts on tobacco leaf with spicy notes, has a heart of vanilla, cacao, tonka bean and tobacco blossom, and finishes on woody notes and dried fruits. A 3ml is €18.18.

Al Haramain's Amber Oud Tobacco Edition is the pick several Fragrantica forum members call the nearest alternative, a little heavier on spice and darker in its dried fruit; in another thread, one member warns of far less vanilla. Fragrance World's Vanille en Tobacco takes the closest-on-the-dry-down slot, on the account of a member who owns Tobacco Vanille in body-spray form and finds it very close once dried down, if less rich. Eternal Touch by Maison Alhambra, once sold as Tobacco Touch, has the lowest bottle price; a forum member finds less tobacco in it and a spicier vanilla. The six picks are in Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille: the original vs 6 alternatives.

Spice, wood and leather

The darker half of the list, from a spiced vanilla to oud and a leather with a short note list.

Noir Extreme by Tom Ford

Noir Extreme (2015) starts with cardamom, nutmeg, saffron and mandarin orange, turns to kulfi, rose and orange blossom, and ends on vanilla, amber and sandalwood. Here the original is within reach of the clones on price: a 3ml is €8.55, and a 10ml at €26.19 falls inside the range of clone bottle prices in its guide.

The Extreme by Alexandria Fragrances ranks first. The house says Noir Extreme inspired it and sells it as an extrait. One Fragrantica member who wore the two on separate arms found the dry-downs impossible to separate, with The Extreme far louder, while another found it close but airier and less sweet. Noir Endurance by Just Jack is the closest-on-the-dry-down pick on one forum member's view, and it is hard to find. Armaf's Odyssey Homme is the lowest-priced bottle there; Fragrantica members describe a lighter take that skips the dense cardamom and saffron opening. All six are compared in Tom Ford Noir Extreme: the original vs 6 alternatives.

Black Orchid by Tom Ford

Black Orchid, the oldest perfume here (2006), pairs truffle, black currant and ylang-ylang with orchid and spices, and settles on Mexican chocolate, incense and patchouli. A 3ml is €9.81.

Black Origami by Maison Alhambra both leads that guide and has its lowest bottle price. Fragrantica's description calls it a faithful take on the Black Orchid profile, with chocolate and ylang-ylang at the front; to one member it is sweeter and easier to wear, while another thinks it reads more masculine. The closest-on-the-dry-down pick is Oud 24 Hours from Ard Al Zaafaran: several Black Orchid owners find it close, mainly once it dries down, though blunter and less refined. The six picks are in Tom Ford Black Orchid: the original vs 6 alternatives.

Oud Wood by Tom Ford

Oud Wood (2007) opens on oud, Brazilian rosewood and cardamom, with Sichuan pepper, sandalwood and vanilla next, and vetiver, tonka bean and amber at the base. A 3ml is €18.81.

Dark Aoud by Maison Alhambra, which Parfumo lists together with Woody Oud as one perfume, leads the guide. On Parfumo, Oud Wood heads its list of similar-smelling perfumes, and a member who wore both after letting the bottle rest for four weeks calls the differences nuances; others find it harsher and less refined. The softer take is Royal Wood from Ahmed Al Maghribi: one member describes it as clean and a little sweet, with the original deeper and darker. Oud Mood by Lattafa has the lowest bottle price but the loosest link, since its Parfumo listing does not name Oud Wood among similar perfumes and the shared notes on paper are oud, sandalwood, amber and vanilla. The rest is in Tom Ford Oud Wood: the original vs 6 alternatives.

Ombre Leather by Tom Ford

Ombre Leather (2018) lists only a few notes: cardamom on top, leather and jasmine sambac at the heart, and amber, moss and patchouli at the base. A 3ml is €10.26.

Rare Carbon by Afnan leads: three forum members on Fragrantica who own the original describe it as very close or very accurate. Members writing about it are split, though, and some find no cardamom in it. Opulence Leather by Maison Alhambra, formerly Amber & Leather, is the closest-on-the-dry-down pick, with owners of the original calling it one of the closest takes, above all once it dries down; others find it turns powdery and synthetic. Velvet Oud by Lattafa has the lowest bottle price. All seven are in Tom Ford Ombre Leather: the original vs 7 alternatives.

Why the original comes first

Every pick above is another house's perfume, and what we know about each one is what outside sources report: forum members, comparison pages, a clone house describing its own bottle. That is worth reading, but it cannot tell you how a clone will sit on your skin, or whether the Tom Ford was the scent you wanted in the first place.

10ML decants all ten originals from the bottle in three sizes. A 3ml holds around 60 sprays, about a week of wear. A 10ml decant gives you around 200 sprays to wear for weeks, and a 30ml, at around 600 sprays, is the size for the scent you keep. If the original wins, you own it in a size you can finish. If a clone wins, you had the real thing to hold it against. Decant or full bottle explains when each size makes sense, and about our decants shows how they are filled.

Frequently asked questions

Yes. All ten Tom Ford perfumes on this page are sold in 3ml, 10ml and 30ml sizes, each decanted from the house's own bottle. A 3ml holds around 60 sprays, about a week of wear; Noir Extreme starts at €8.55 for that size and Black Orchid at €9.81.
Which clone houses turn up most often across these Tom Ford dupe guides?
Maison Alhambra has a pick in eight of the ten guides, from Black Origami for Black Orchid to Opulence Leather for Ombre Leather. Dossier has a pick in six, among them Powdery Coconut for Soleil Blanc and Ambery Cherry for Lost Cherry.
Where does a 10ml decant of Noir Extreme sit next to its clones on price?
Noir Extreme costs €26.19 as a 10ml decant, which falls inside the range of clone bottle prices in that guide's table, where the bottles with a euro price run from Odyssey Homme at the low end to Select Night at the high end.
How were the leading picks in each guide chosen?
Each guide ranks six or seven clones from a fact sheet in which every claim has its own named source: members of Fragrantica, Parfumo or Basenotes, a comparison page, or the clone house's own page. The guide states that basis next to each pick and dates every clone bottle price.
Does 10ML have any link to Tom Ford or to the clone houses?
No. 10ML is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Tom Ford or by the houses named here. What 10ML sells is the original Tom Ford perfume, decanted from its bottle; every clone on this page is a bottle from another house.
